Women routinely outlive men for a variety of reasons, biological, social and lifestyle factors included. There may be one much more obvious factor however that often gets overlooked: men simply take more stupid risks.
This list, compiled by Bored Panda, is a vivid illustration of that. It is a collection of questionable intelligence, macho bravado and callous disregard for personal safety. And it is tragically funny! Scroll down below to check it out for yourself, and let us know what you think in the comments!

from the reddit post: They're standing outside of a bank. I guarantee they are the bank employees/sons or brothers of the bank employees that were asked to fix the light, and granted use of the office furniture to accomplish the task. The Kyrgyz approach to fixing things isn't so much employing "facilities/maintenance guys" as calling up Timur, Bakit, Amir, and Emil from down at the bazaar and offer them tea and cakes afterwards.

While many of these are funny, some ilustrate why we should be happy for workplace safety laws abd regulations that fell over the top and bureaucratic sometimes.
yes, and people whine about rules, regulations and work place standards and government intervention--what they do not realize is the hundreds, probably thousands of lives these rules save

Okay, I wanted to stay away from this anxiety inducing list, but seeing all these comments made me write what I'm going to write. 1) Articles like this wrapped up im a title like that have been around long before today's mainstream of feminism. 2) The statistics, and many personal experiences of people who lost their grandfathers before their grandmothers, as well as the general belief that women are genetically equipped with better immunity and resistance to health problems, lead to believe that, in general, women live longer than men for scientific reasons. 3) Then someone decided to poke a bit of fun at these things by starting lists like these. Now you know the origins of this kind of humour, it's nothing new, and not coming exclusively from the hatred for or discrimination against men.
For as crazy dangerous as most of these were, you do have to give a few of them props for creativity!
While these are funny, I fear that I must confess that at one point or another in my life - especially when I was working in construction - I did many of these and many more that make me shake my head now that 40 years or so have elapsed. Still, I survived and without any noticeable injuries along the way.
You can do a dangerous job and at least try and protect yourself from obvious harm. I think the point of this post is to show that these idiots don't even follow basic safety rules... or even common sense.
