For both canines and felines, the 'tradition' of gathering the fruits of one's hunting expedition and presenting them to their superior runs deep in their blood. Whether they've caught a toy, a random object, or a small animal, the hunt will fill them with great pride, and by bringing their catch to you and thus sharing that pride, they communicate a sense of kinship with you. My older cat is bringing dead mouses everyday, the younger one (she is 5 years old) isnt such a killer....one summer she brought me dry bread everyday :D i think to feed the chicken a few houses around the corner ... so she ran in the living room everyday, totally proud with a big slice of bread :D one day the older one already put a mouse in the room and the smaller one put the bread next to the mouse. it was like "here we made a sandwich for you...just put it together...yummie!" :D

So many cats and dogs obsessed with sponges! I have never seen such a thing before. I mean, sponges are cool and all but none of my pets ever showed interest in sponges.

When we first got our geckos, cats broke in, and one gecko went missing. The window was open so we didn't know if it was in the house or outside. We moved the remaining gecko to an inaccessible room so the cats couldn't get to her. Two days later one of the cats comes running in from the patio outside with the missing gecko in her mouth. Perfectly unharmed apart from a missing tail. Both cats and geckos are alive and well today!

So many bad owners. Cats never should go outside. They kill birds or could get run over. Dogs should be kept on a leash or inside a fence.
