50 Times Pets Brought Their Owners The Most Unexpected Gifts
Dogs and cats may not be able to verbally express their gratitude to us, but they do have one thing going for them - they are amazing gift-givers. Who doesn't love waking up to a freshly-killed mouse in their bed?
For both canines and felines, the 'tradition' of gathering the fruits of one's hunting expedition and presenting them to their superior runs deep in their blood. Whether they've caught a toy, a random object, or a small animal, the hunt will fill them with great pride, and by bringing their catch to you and thus sharing that pride, they communicate a sense of kinship with you. So, while you may be horrified by that dead frog your kitty just dropped on your pillow, know that it wouldn't be there if your furbaby didn't love you with all their heart.
Scroll down to see the weirdest, funniest, and sometimes scariest gifts people's pets have brought them, and vote for the ones that you would be grateful to receive.

Brought A Little Gift
When I Lifted Her Head, I Almost Died From Laughing. Dentures! An Elderly Couple Owned This House Before Me And I Think Maybe It Was Theirs
We foster dogs, and I will never forget the time we sat down with a prospective adoptee couple and they asked the question "does he jump up on things trying to get at food or anything" I truthfully replied "No, he's actually been really good with that." No more than 30 seconds later he comes trotting back from a little exploration with a stolen bag of treats, and his head held higher than I've ever seen it. They still occasionally send me pictures of his antics.
There used to be a dog toy ball that gives similar effect. But this is great :)
And yerrrk, only a dog would wear someone else's teeth.
Load More Replies...I had a drunk friend who chucked up her teeth, and the next morning, found her dog had ate them. Don't know what was funnier - that he ate them, or watching her tell the story.
Reminds me of my Aunt, who lived in a nursing home, and in the middle of a Sunday night, went around to all the other residents in their nightstands, collected their false reports teeth and returned them in a jumble to her nightstand drawer. Imagine the confusion! The staff had no idea whose teeth were whose and a long time elapsed before everything was back to normal!
He dug them up from the garden and took them out of the mouth of the person that was buried there. Did you look? LOL If you do not take these away from him he will eat it and get sick. Oh yeah this is just funny looking too.
I laughed for a solid 5 minutes after seeing this! You just made my day!
Those are some nasty dentures I wouldn't put those in my mouth even if I was a dog. Gross
I had that too, with my dog. We go to nursing homes to visit elderly people and cheer them up. So apparently my dog found the teeth of an elderly lady and started sucking the food crumbs off of them. Got them out of the snout, and kind of embarrassed dropped them off at the nurses office. Told them to better clean them real good! Hope they did.
In fact, our dog did the same. She stole grandma's teeth when she fell ill and took her denture out. My mama went to visit her and dog joined her. In few minutes, mama was suspicious watching doggo chewing something hidden under the table. She called dog's name and she smiled at her very humanely...
This is literally my worst nightmare! I had a nightmare once about dogs with human teeth who kept coming to my door and telling me my family was dead 😣 urghhh
Ecthcuth me are theeth your teef? OH. MY. GOD!!! I needed this picture today! It made me laugh so hard I cried!

So many cats and dogs obsessed with sponges! I have never seen such a thing before. I mean, sponges are cool and all but none of my pets ever showed interest in sponges.
Maybe they do not think your cleaning is lacking.
Load More Replies...When we first got our geckos, cats broke in, and one gecko went missing. The window was open so we didn't know if it was in the house or outside. We moved the remaining gecko to an inaccessible room so the cats couldn't get to her. Two days later one of the cats comes running in from the patio outside with the missing gecko in her mouth. Perfectly unharmed apart from a missing tail. Both cats and geckos are alive and well today!

My favorite is the labrador with the potato. All of them are pretty awesome though.
So many bad owners. Cats never should go outside. They kill birds or could get run over. Dogs should be kept on a leash or inside a fence.
