"Community college first" seriously I was NOT ready for a four year school straight out of high school but I let myself be pressured into it anyway (I was the valedictorian and was basically told community college was beneath me). Would have saved myself a lot of money and a lot of headache

Barbie hit stories in 1959. Ken didn't come out until 1961. Both dolls were named after the inventor/developer's daughter and son. Don't know about early Ken, but the Ken doll I had never changed in the 10+ years I actually had them. And his clothes sucked. My Barbies dated my brother's G.I. JOE action figures. Shorter than Ken, but infinitely cooler!

Always disturbing that every woman should had look like Barbie but nobody aimed to look like Ken. I only can guess how Barbie was a fetish at the development of mattel, while Ken had to be the least possible contrahent for their fantasies.

Celebrity worship syndrome is a disorder that occurs when admiration for someone shifts into an obsessive fascination. While it's not a clinically recognized condition, it's been described as an obsessive-addictive disorder.
