This Lithuanian Artist Loves Surprising People With His Dark Comics (40 New Pics)
Interview With Artist“Needle Wig,” otherwise known as Deividas Tamosiunas, is a comic artist from Lithuania. The artist’s work has been previously featured on Bored Panda (click here for part 1) as Deividas is quite well-known for his subtle yet dark humor.
Tamosiunas has racked up over 17k followers on Instagram with his most recent comic going viral and getting over 382k likes on the platform. The said comic is a good old joke about the Nokia 3310 (if you know, you know) which was also included in the post (for your viewing pleasure).

Bored Panda reached out to Deividas with some questions! First, we wanted to know how the artist started making comics and what was his inspiration for that.
"So, one of the first comic strips came from a day when I was sitting in my room eating pasta. Then suddenly I heard a message sound on my work phone and immediately knew that right now I had to go and take someone's shift. That made me furious because it was already late, and I felt way too cozy sitting in my room.
So, as I'm standing up to check the phone, I start mentally getting myself into a working mood, and therefore getting angrier and angrier. But as soon as I turn on my phone I see that it's not a message from my work but just a battery notification that has the same sound as a text message."
"It was such a relief, and that made me laugh. Also, I felt kind of stupid for getting that riled up. So, I thought I had to make a comic about this. And that got me started making other comic strips.
Some of the ideas I draw straight out of my own experiences, and some are just thoughts about life, people's behavior, uncomfortable situations, cats, dogs, or anything in general that catches my attention."
When it comes to his ideas and how exactly he comes up with all of them, here's what Deividas said "Generating ideas is difficult for me because sometimes I can't come up with anything all day. Sometimes, though, they just come to me when I walk in a park, talk to someone, or overhear a random conversation on the street or wherever I'm prancing around."
Given how subtle yet dark some of the artist's comics are, we were wondering whether he has any themes he'd rather stay away from. "I haven't thought of any specific subject or theme that I wanted to leave out, and there are no ideas on my back burner where I'd think that it might be too sensitive to someone as well."
In school, when about to beaten up, Stephen Fry would say, "No, no, no, stop! You'll give me an erection!"
That's not a spider in the last panel tho..Spiders have 2 body segments and 8 legs.

I must admit that this was really good, both in terms of drawing and stories. Started following him on Insta.
Kitten. She's doing great. In fact, she just pounced me. Last night we killed all the toy mice, but it's okay. They had it coming.
