I did that when I was five. I learned a lot that day. Not being stupid, for starters.

I have a METHOD that works! Pull all the bangs hair forward in one lock and twist. Trim the end of that lock while leaning over the bathroom sink - about 1/8 to 1/4 inch, whatever I need. It gets the center shorter and leaves the sides longer , with no "Little Lord Faunteroy" look! Works great to get me through between haircuts!
