30 Funny Accidental Images That Were Taken At The Right Time And Place By This Street Photographer (New Pics)
Interview With ArtistAccidental photos are the funniest type of images found on the internet. And the beautiful thing about this, so to speak, genre of photography is that you can be either a professional or an amateur and still get attention-worthy images.
Though some images are truly taken by accident, others take a bit of planning and waiting around. This street photographer, Edas Wong, has been taking coincidental images for a while now. In a previous post, he shared: “When I go out on the streets, I just watch every detail in front of me. If the coincidences are with objects, it's easy. However, if they aren't, I'll also need luck. Sometimes I wait a while to register the right moment." He added: "The longest waiting time was several months. I repeatedly went back to that targeted location and waited, re-observing and re-imagining."
No matter how much time it takes to capture one image, the end result is always worthwhile. That is why this isn't our first time sharing Edas's work, so if you'd like to check out his previous posts on Bored Panda, you can find them here, here, here, and here.

Bored Panda got in touch with Edas to learn more about him and his photography.
Since Edas has been in this field of photography for some time now and managed to get the funniest images, we were wondering about his take on inspiration. He shared: “Inspiration does not come from thinking or drugs. It comes from concentrated observation. When the mind is empty and highly concentrated, creativity will then boom. Therefore, continuous creation is possible if the focus is on observation during photography. Every time, when a new inspiration comes up, no matter if it is a fun idea or not, I feel grateful.”
Street photography purely depends on luck and good observing skills. Surely, there must be some stories behind the images. So we asked Edas to share a story about a particularly memorable photo of his.
“In a shopping mall, I observed that the graphical pattern of the clothing of a lady was very similar to that of the floor. She walked very fast into a restaurant and I missed the chance to capture that moment. However, I decided to wait for her to come out. After waiting almost 90 minutes, she finally came out. Again, she walked very fast and then disappeared into the crowd. While I felt very disappointed and turned around to leave that moment, I saw a girl who was dressed in the exact same pattern as the floor. Then I quickly captured that moment in a second without thinking.”
Sometimes Edas takes time with his photographs. Some ideas are just waiting for the right moment. However, we were wondering if he has ever waited for the perfect shot and ended up empty-handed. He shared: “Capturing a good street photo is very complicated. You need creative ideas and coincidental moments. Sometimes, if I have a new idea but feel tired and don't want to walk, I could stop and try to wait for that coincidental/magic moment. However, the probability of success is normally very low. The answer is that it is NOT impossible to ever happen and completely depends on luck!”
Edas’s photographs were mainly taken in Hong Kong; therefore, we wanted to know if he has any plans to go abroad and photograph other places. ”I like traveling around the world and shooting overseas. Recently, I traveled to Japan twice in 4 months. Traveling makes me relax, which is good for concentration because I can put all busy work and family matters aside,” explained Edas.
And lastly, he added: “All art forms are about deep observation, not deeply thinking. Trust me!”
I'm more impressed by how that guy has his arms crossed behind his back. Absolute madness.
Well duh. Everyone knows that rosmary is the most important part of cooked humans. (Please tell me that is rosmary. I want to be a chef when I grow up, and it would be really embarrassing if I got this wrong.)
All the gear for a simple bamboo pole. Are you gonna tell her or should I?
Coming from a guy, I would literally rather break both my arms then have this happen to me...
I wouldn’t say this is a whole list of funny, ‘accidental’ photos - a lot of these photos are just beautiful.
