Dogs aren't the only smart animals that have jobs. This might come as a surprise, but some adorable cats don't shy away from getting their paws dirty as well. And to prove that they got more important things to do than knocking stuff over, people are posting pictures of the most hardworking felines. Some help their owners promote a garage sale, some are busy mousekeeping, but no matter big or small, their efforts are always appreciated. Scroll down to enjoy the pics and upvote your favorite employees of the month!

The Incredible Nursing Cat
Rademenesa was diagnosed with an inflamed respiratory tract when he was 2 months old. He survived the ordeal and now lives at the animal shelter and keeps other sick animals company and tries to nurse them back to health
There have been numerous cute cats who held real jobs as well. For example, when Empirical Brewery in Chicago noticed that their grain is being eaten by rodents and insects, they started thinking about the best way to solve this problem and decided to get four cats who now stroll around the 8,000 square foot brewery and look for anything they can catch.

Mousekeeping.... that is BRILLIANT, just absolutely brilliant :-)
Another intelligent animal, Felix, has been working as the senior pest controller at Huddersfield Railway Station for years. He even has his own name tag and a neon vest to go with it. This mouse-catching master also loves filling in at the ticket station and chat with travelers.
You Come At The King, You Best Not Miss
Experts say that this method of pest control is much more cost effective and humane. The use of these adorable animals eliminates the need for harsh chemicals and poisons, which is better for the environment. As for the humanity of it, the introduction of cats to a vermin-ridden area alone can eliminate pests without any killing — the feline scent and droppings alone are enough to drive out rodents, because rats won’t even reproduce near such predators.

But cats can hold other positions, too. Most of us have heard of therapy dogs, but cats can apply for this job as well. Thula is a great example of that. She was paired with a 6-year-old girl named Iris who lives with Autism, and the situation has improved for the better ever since.

I had a cat who was found of mechanic. Every singe time a motor was open, oil was changed or a car had just its hood open, she had to go check ! It became eventually a joke "did it pass the cat-test?". I have dozen of pics with her in motor, in, on or under cars ! She was probably working in that field in a previous life :)
My boyfriend once went to a horseback riding place because he was curious to learn more about it. While chatting with a receptionist, he heard the quietest, gentlest mew. Turns out that Miss Kitty--a sweet little black cat was making her rounds in the office. Later, he took me over and we asked if "Miss Kitty was in." She was!
Cabbage, our office cat of many years, passed away several years ago. He was the sweetest most laid back ex-stray, spending his day's going from desk to desk and greeting visitors. There is a plaque in the lobby honoring his memory and years of service as company "morale officer"
Screw those Amazon-try-to-sell-you-stuff-you-don't-need-posts! More cat posts please!
On my city there's a cat that lives at OAB (Brasil's lawyers concil) and to avoid him being taken to a shelter, they gave him an oficial job at the reception. On event days, he wears a little tie and everyone loves him.
There's a cat at my school whose job is to sit in the school counselor's office and comfort people waiting for an appointment. She's a very good cat.
The vet we go to has an office cat that comes to greet everyone. His name is Cheddar
I love cats so much! I feel they are very misunderstood creatures who deserve our love and care! :)
Cats? Well, I think the world is better with them! They are definitely beneficial to us. Could it be that when there seems to be a shortage of cats more UFO'S are seen ? Hmmmm!
Good day! I really liked your article. Can I translate it into Russian and place it on my page. I will point out that you are the author of this article. For this you will get more subscribers in the group. Thus, I will expand your Russian-speaking audience.
The hair salon that I go to has a resident cat. She wandered in a handful of years ago, and became the resident kitty. Her "services" are listed on their website and pricing sheets. The owner told me that she has had multiple clients say that they go to them mainly for the cat. She isn't super cuddly, not surprising since she was a stray, but she will let you pet her, and, if she's comfortable with you, she'll jump up on your lap and take a nap
As a cat fancier, I thoroughly enjoyed seeing all of the hard-working kitties.
Dogs are given jobs, but cats find their own. They see a need and move in!
I remember coffee shop called "cats&coffee". Take a wild guess how it got its name. Also they had quite a good book collection.
As cute as those cats are, I hope this never become a trend. I'm VERY allergic to cats (like many people) and this would make my life hell.
I only looked at about half of these. Was there a watchcat? If you haven't seen this video, I highly recommend it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EEa6jZv-Khc. Best cat ever!!
So, pretty soon someone with cat or dog allergies won't be able to comfortably go to: the doctor, the dentist, the library, won't be able to ride on planes or go to most stores. But pet owners' need to carry around a living stuffed animal are more important! They might be sad if they had to leave home without the pet, like an adult.
My one eyed kitty was OSHA Supervisor of my showers and a busboy. At home, got paid in rubbies and treats.
My sweet old Vera was such a sweetie pie that when she died everyone at my vet’s office who signed a sympathy card talked about what a sweet kitty girl she was.
We meant to say they're all PURRrific at their professions...
We love these working cats!! Our Meowseum gives all of them a 4PawsUp Review. Their PURRrific!
