With their unpredictable personalities and goofy stunts, cats do rule the web. These little creatures are full of mysteries—sleeping in a cactus pot when there’s a warm and comfy bed, performing cat operas in the middle of the night, and thinking that the Christmas tree is the biggest enemy out there.
I guess humans will never understand the logic behind their behavior but we can at least laugh from it. Take it from this Twitter account that is all about memes you wish you could tag your cat in. Who doesn’t appreciate a proper pic or a joke about our favorite furballs?
Here's a compilation of the best posts we have collected from this account, so make sure to upvote your favorite ones! If you're in the mood for some more cat memes, check out our previous posts about them right here and here.

If you don't say "oh that's a big stretch" every time your cat stretches, should you even have a cat?
Bored Panda reached out to the creator of this account, Pyrrhica, who is an artist from Portland, Oregon. After nearly ten years of traveling around the world, she decided to settle in Perth, Western Australia, where she spends her time posting memes and painting portraits of cats. She was kind enough to have a little chat with us and go in-depth about her project.
The artist told us that the inspiration to create this account came from social media. She read a tweet that said "I wish I could tag my cat in memes" and got the idea to create a Facebook page. "Eventually, I moved to Twitter and started an account here with the same name. The original person actually contacted me ... and said she loved that I turned her post into a real community."
Not surprisingly, Pyrrhica considers herself to be a cat person. Right now she’s taking care of one foster feline named Lucy "who is currently seeking a forever home near Perth, Australia if someone is in need of a cat."
Since the little furball is already getting some attention online, the search will probably not take long. The artist has made her into a couple of memes and said that "she’s a big inspiration for the captions I write, as are my past experiences with family pets over the years."
Pyrrhica seems to have found the perfect blend of silly cat memes and hilariously accurate captions because the account has gained more than 152K followers in less than a year. When asked about what kind of posts Twitter users enjoy most, she replied that her "followers love memes that make them say 'hey that’s my cat too!'" and the ones that make them "literally wish they could tag their cat in".
"My favorites are the silly cat photos that I make into memes about how a cat is anxiously awaiting wet food because my foster cat is also obsessed," the creator said.
When it comes to finding the pictures online, she usually finds them herself but confirms that many followers submit their material as well. "I get a lot of submissions but it’s mostly just people sharing cute images of their cats," she explained. "It makes the page really fun to run because I get to see so many cats." However, most submissions "miss the mark when it comes to being a meme, but they always make me smile."
On the side, Pyrrhica collects some of the funniest feline memes she can find, transforms them into beautiful paintings and uploads them on her website: "I love cats so much that I made it into a job—I paint portraits of cats and this Twitter is the main way I reach people who love cat art."
While we can't stop wondering what's going on inside our cats' heads, it seems that those little furballs might not really understand humans either. John Bradshaw, a cat-behavior expert at the University of Bristol and the author Cat Sense: How the New Feline Science Can Make You a Better Friend to Your Pet, said that felines don't "get us" the way dogs do.
“Dogs perceive us as being different than themselves: As soon as they see a human, they change their behavior," he explained. When it comes to cats, they don't seem to have adapted their social behavior when people are present (even though they know we're much bigger than them): "Putting their tails up in the air, rubbing around our legs, and sitting beside us and grooming us are exactly what cats do to each other."
The expert reveals a few mysteries that make cat owners often scratch their heads from confusion, like why do they yowl in the middle of the night or what's the deal with all this kneading. Apparently, cats are much smarter than we think: "Cats learn specifically how their owners react when they make particular noises," Bradshaw mentioned that vocalizing works perfectly well for them to get your attention and the same goes with purring.
Also, if you ever wondered why do cats knead us, it’s another way of them trying to communicate with us and it's deeply rooted in their instincts: "All the behavior they show toward us is derived in some way from the mother-kitten relationship. The kitten learns to raise its tail, rub on its mother, and knead and purr. Grooming is what mothers do back to kittens."
These adorable animals get jumpy, weird and wacky because your house seems like a jungle to them. We can think of cats as essentially wild animals trying to adapt to unusual home environments. Luckily for us, that can make them unpredictable and really adorable all at the same time, which is the perfect combination for achieving some meme-worthy material for us to enjoy.
Every dang night. I fold my dog blanket and put it in the middle of the bed so he can keep us warm. Every night he sleeps at the foot of the bed after everyone lays down.
Load More Replies...Mine have always been allowed to sleep on the bed (unless they start getting territorial about it and nipping is if we move in our sleep, like our dog did, so he’s got his own bed on the floor now). They just roll with it. Literally.
That's always the worst, esp when You kill myself trying to not deserve the bosses.
that makes me so upset when it happens its like they think I'm gonna move them so they just decide to get up!
nah you gottan just grab them and make them cuddle with you for a bit. they will eventually give up on getting away >:3
Every time I try not to disturb my cat! then you need to know bed yoga and how to crawl around him to my side of the bed. Then he leaves!
Pretty much every night. I also practically wwt my pants instead of making them move off my lap.
I have the opposite problem. Cat sleeps at my feet and pretty much the only way to get him to leave is to actually pay real attention to him. It's not the worst, but I wish his threshold was either higher or lower.
My cat doesn't only want to watch. She wants to get petted while I'm actively peeing. Zero boundaries.
I wish I had the nerve to do that everyday when I arrive at my workplace.
Maybe we should slap things more. I mean, not slap people because that's mean, but slap things, random things.
Buy them a cat bed and they will sleep in the dustpan. Don't buy them a cat bed and they will steal your favourite armchair and cushions forever. That's why. Cat logic.
Kitty knows. My cat is also oddly obsessed with pizza. It's not the cheese or the meat. It's the sauce. She adores tomato products. She's a weird animal, but I love her.
Is there anything harder than giving your cat a pill, or putting ointment on her skin and then preventing her to lick it off immediately?
I wish desperately that I could get a cat, but my sister and parents are very allergic to them and won't be able to live with one despite how much me and my sister want one.
I think they're called Syberians. Hypoallergenic and flipping BEAUTIFUL! A friend has one as she has many allergic family members. No issues with this cat.
