Because of the coronavirus lockdown, we’re spending most of our time at home. However, not all of us are used to spending so much time cooped up in one place and it’s starting to show!
Some people are so bored that they’re coming up with creative ideas to spend their downtime. Like one person who thought it would be a brilliant idea to walk around on all fours with an Amazon box on their body. Or another who took off all the seeds from a strawberry with nothing but a pair of tweezers.
Bored Panda has collected some of the best pictures of people doing fun activities during the coronavirus lockdown. So scroll down, upvote your faves, and drop us a comment about your original things to do at home, dear Pandas! Be sure to read on for our interview with Greg Whale, Joe The Doodle Boy’s dad, about how lockdowns can be the perfect time to teach others and help them unleash their creativity.

I Officially Reached Maximum Boredom Last Night
While boredom is great for shenanigans, staying at home can inspire us to work on new projects and help others out with our genius ideas.
Remember Joe The Doodle Boy from England who kept getting in trouble for drawing in class and who then went on to decorate his art school’s wall and the dining room of a restaurant? Well, he just created a new YouTube channel where he teaches other kids how to doodle, helps keep them busy, and opens up their creativity while they’re off from school.
Bored Panda spoke to Joe’s dad Greg Whale to learn more about how his son is settling into his new role as an online art teacher. “Joe is really enjoying passing on his doodle methods—he loves working on his YouTube channel and helping other kids and also many adults to open up their creativity in this very strange time!”

So far we have Princess Leia, Amy Winehouse, 90's prom, Cindy Lou who, and George Washington.
So all in a week he has saved the galaxy, sang some poppy tunes, gone to prom, dealt with an angry guy, and helped to form America. Busy week.
According to Greg, his son Joe said that “art is an amazing indoor activity, so my brother Jesse and I are taking this opportunity to be positive and help others create.”
Joe spends as much time drawing as he can. Now that he’s got his YouTube channel up and running, he’s “really happy he has another thing to create.”
Greg and his wife are teaching their 3 children at home, using online learning resources recommended to them by their school.

The Doodle Boy has been very busy recently! “Joe has just completed a 30-piece commission for an eagerly awaited 5-star hotel in Palm Beach Florida where his work will be in each of the luxury rooms,” Joe’s dad revealed. “Joe is also working on 2 commissions for 2 of his followers. Joe now has an agent in LA, USA, who is in deep discussions with major publishers and animators.”
In other words, Joe’s on a roll and the lockdown doesn’t seem to be dampening his spirits. He’s an inspiration to all of us stuck at home to start creating. Are you up to the challenge, dear Pandas?

As an introvert with 21 years of experience, I confirm this.
Load More Replies...Are people really bored from being home for a week and a half? I just can't imagine. Were they busy 24/7 before, and all with hobbies outside? It's so alien to me. My only change has been the lack of 4 hours commuting every day, so I can sleep in and 'be home' early.
The hardest for me is being an introvert and having kids. Thank God we live on a farm and have the ability (necessity) to go outside to take care of our sheep, chickens, etc. and not have to worry about keeping our distance. I feel bad for those living in apartments/big cities. I pray for those in domestic violence situations. I can't imagine what they're going through.
Load More Replies...I don't get how some people need so much attention and have apparently never entertained themselves, for themselves, while alone. I grew up an only child, and have always been an introvert who draws, reads, plays solo video games, and makes things. Honestly, it can be a relief to not have to deal with social obligations. It does suck how people are actually getting sick, dying, losing jobs, etc. But the whole being alone in your home thing is pretty great.
I agree. Lockdown is not the problem: the virus is the reason.

To everyone out there: stay safe, wash your hands and practice social distancing. This virus is a crazy thing, but the world is going to make it through this. Take care of your loved ones and yourself and I will be praying for you.
I've gone to work every single day. I can do 99% of my job from home, but I'm required to commute to my office anyway. The only thing that has changed is, I can't go to the gym. My daughter's karate school is still having classes, which is insane (she's not going, though). My children have always been home schooled, the biggest problem has been keeping the neighborhood kids away right now. They're all used to getting off of the school bus and heading straight to our house to play. Now I've gotta be the "bad guy" because no one here is taking this seriously.
I have always considered myself to be an introvert, but I am going a little stir crazy right now. Luckily, I can still get out and walk my dog a few times a day. We will run into others walking their dogs and stop for a moment so the dogs can say hi, but I do miss my coworkers.
I've never understood the concept of being bored. Is it like one does not know what to do with their free time? How's that? I've been depressed, tired, overwhelmed etc. before but never bored. It is great to see that people are now letting themselves be creative. If only they did not have to worry about paying rent and buying food...
Introvert and not having a problem. That's good because I have MS and can't go out anyway. 😉
Thanks for the levity! Just got home from the doctor's office. My cat was so bored being with me all day she bit me. I had to get the shot. How fair is that?
