20 Slightly Inappropriate Comics By This Artist (New Pics)
Interview With ArtistThe comic series "Fruit Gone Bad" imagines a world where fruits, vegetables, and other foods are able to speak and share their thoughts. The cartoons are created by a New York cartoonist and feature quirky and twisted versions of food characters, as well as other objects, doing everyday activities like humans do and having their own social lives.
Some of the comics may be humorous or inappropriate, and may even change the way you think about your favorite foods. Despite this, the series has amassed a large following of more than 82k Instagram users who enjoy this kind of humor. Whether you find it funny or not, we'd love to hear your thoughts on this offbeat comic series.

The artist has previously shared with Bored Panda that he's been drawing comics since he was a kid. "Action comics, funny comics, and dungeons and dragons comics were my favorite to draw and write. Then as I got older, I started really sketching seriously and painting black light posters. I never took classes. I learned from my mistakes. I’m still learning. I read books here and there and picked other artists' brains for tips."
it took me too long to realize he had somes balls missing down there... 😁
The "Fruit Gone Bad" comics are recognized for their clever use of dark humor. Despite the innocent appearance of the fruit, vegetable and other characters, the artist manages to convey inappropriate thoughts that are relatable to many people. The illustrations suggest that food items have personalities and thoughts that are similar to our own.
Bored Panda reached out to the artist again to learn more about "Fruit Gone Bad" and himself. The creator shared that the idea for the comics was "kind of a happy mistake". "I drew a few comics about celery stalking and apples with worms. A few people I know who saw them thought they were cute. I drew a few more and tried to get witty with what was going on instead of just the visual puns. Besides, cat and mouse comics have already been done, so I figured I might corner the market with produce!"
Although the process of creating art can be deeply fulfilling, it may also present some challenges. For the NY cartoonist, the most challenging aspect of making comics is "trying to come up with a visual of what’s going on in the scene and then finding the perfect words to convey the joke". The most enjoyable part of the process is when he gets the wording perfect and the comic is "colored and cleaned up".
Our curiosity was piqued by the artist's choice to feature food as a subject in his comics. According to the cartoonist, there are lots of jokes and puns out there when it comes to food. "I love relating these jokes to real life. The personalities of the subjects are based on the everyday feelings and lives of people. It really depends on the comic that I’m working on. Sometimes it can get strange, like a Twilight Zone situation or a scene out of a noir movie. The end goal is to make people laugh and think!"
"I've always loved drawing comics with hopes that I could one day animate them. I've always wanted to be a part of the cartoon world with characters that are known worldwide."

To me, the disturbing part of this one is the way they're drawn. The pimiento part looks like they're prolapsing. I guess that's so we know they're olives?
Skipped this article. Inappropriate and bored panda... Naaa... As a non-native in english: Would take me longer to decipher the censored text than the joke. Really loved the article. Great stuff.
These manage to be 'naughty' without using words that trip the censors, actually.
