Freckles are often found on people with fair complexions, such as people with red hair. Why? Because people with paler skin color generally have less melanin, which is the pigment that gives skin, hair, and eyes their color. So, where do these cute freckles come from? Well, although freckles are inherited, it's actually the sun that brings them out. See, the sun's ultraviolet radiation causes melanocytes to make more skin pigments, and this, in turn, creates freckles on face, arms, and shoulders while making existing freckles darker. This is why freckles appear darker in the summer and lighter in the winter! Check out the different types of freckles below, and don't forget to vote for the most beautiful photos!

if i remember correctly this one is photoshopped. or the other one i saw from her was because the other one was with much less or even without freckles. dont ask for proof it was one from a nightcore/dubstep thumbnail on youtube :/

I love this one! I have loads of freckles (I think it's the Irish red head in me) I was always very selfconcious of them but it has all changed in the past couple of years!

I used to hate my freckles as a child but forget i have them now ! Sign of english beauty my parents used to tell me !

Sorry....I disagree. Yes, some of them are very attractive, but the freckles are waaaaaayyyy to much. Looks a little freaky.

Since junior high, my dream girl has fiery red hair, alabaster skin, and lots of freckles. Alas, I've yet to meet her. Beautiful photos.

I'm plain boring with dark brown eyes, and before going grey, I was light brunette. Always loved freckles ( as a kid, I used to get a few in the summer ) red. Wonderful shots of wonderful people!
