We are two street/contemporary artists, Skr3am and Jinks from Redlight Studio, Melbourne, Australia.
We recently created our second piece of work entitled “Bette”; spanning 28 hours of painting and installation, using a concept and technique previously unseen in the street art movement as we know it. With a combination of spray paint and picture frames, either collected at random or custom made in our studio, we created this mural by placing each frame strategically over the eyes of Bette Davis, in turn creating an elegant composition.
Why did we create this?.. Truth be told the original design was planned to be a completely different subject matter, with more depth and meaning, larger in size and scale (similar to our first production “Twiggy”). However, the owner of the wall sold the building and we decided to downscale as we could not be assured the production would be kept long term. Literally at the 11th hour we decided to go with this design, purely for aesthetic purposes only.
Contrary to this particular project, our inspiration derives from people that have made a difference to the world in a positive way within their field.
