Have you ever caught your cat lost in thought? Wouldn’t it be great to know what they are thinking? Or what they say to each other?
Even two kittens laying together enjoying the sunshine are not as innocent as you might think. What could these two be saying to each other I wonder?
“Man, her butt looks big in that!”
“She put on weight when she had kittens but never lost it.”
“Boy is she having a bad fur day.”
“Yeah, so then he started licking his butt and I knew he had lost interest in me.”
“Here comes the male human, look cute quick there could be food!”
So the next time your cat is sitting looking at you thoughtfully, be afraid, be very afraid.

I think if I knew what my cats thought about me, I'd feel insecure in their presence. I have a feeling the thoughts would not be particularly charitable! Wonderful image, of cats in a leisurely moment.

Thanks Steve. I often chant my Buddhist mantras to my cats while cuddling them - my husband often says he wonders what they really think of all that. Probably better not to know, I like to think they find it soothing...
