They sure are, yet they can weigh so heavily at times</3
Load More Replies...I'm sure that this is often true, but I also know someone who has been battling depression for years. She decided to hire a personal trainer and has lost a lot of weight. For the first time in years, she is feeling better about herself.
Personally, I can't relate. I actually am happier when at my lightest. But that doesn't mean this one doesn't apply to others.
Same here, I feel healthier and with more energy, that makes me happy.
Load More Replies...That's essentially oversimplifying the issue. Weight was probably one of many people's unhappiness, unfortunately; they have lots of other issues making them unhappy too.
Clearly not. Fat/skinny doesn't mean anything if you don't treat the mental issues that had you obese/anorexic in the first place.
Load More Replies...Happiness isn't a number on the scale. Happiness is friendships. Happiness is hugs. Happiness is family. Happiness is love. Happiness is believing in yourself<3
I feel this way too. Idk I see all these other guys with six packs and I’m just like so uncomfortable. Not with them but with myself and I always have an tender heart and I make people around me happy. But nobody loves a fat freak like me.
damn, i like myself so much more after gaining a it of weight, books are awesome!
Sorry, but phisiologically you'll BE happier if you get skinnier, because science proofs that phisical exercise actually contrast depression.
"I realize now that I am not just an instructor at a gym, but that I am a role model and leader in the fitness industry. It is my responsibility to do whatever I can to help people get healthier while feeling confident and happy in their body. If a girl can look in the mirror, can love what she sees while still working hard to be a better version of herself than she was yesterday then I have accomplished my goal" - says Cassey.

Cassey believes that the problem with exercising begins when people do it solely for physical vanity or for creating a sense of worth. The whole fitness journey should serve the purpose of improving your body in a healthy way. It's important to dig deep to find the joy in working out. It might be a passion for running, dancing, or doing Pilates. Whatever it might be, so long as you like it, it may as well become a part of your daily routine.

She believes that social media and in particular, social fitness media has an important role to play in helping people achieve their fitness and healthy lifestyle goals. This is especially true for people who lack family and friends to provide that support.
Cassey believes that YouTube has an important role to play in issues concerning body image. In her view, body image is shaped by the "perfect" images of women in magazines and movies and when women and girls pursue these "perfect" body images, the result can sometimes be eating and body image disorders. She believes that YouTube provides content creators with a platform to present girls and women as they really are which she believes will encourage them to be more confident in who they are.

Omg my heart just melted you have such good relationships with a stable life. I’m so jelly :3
This is so true! I began to workout recently and I cannot imagine it without my favourite music. It turns a physical suffering into a great and funny experience. I actually enjoy workouts with music and would recommend it to everyone.
I actually find the one on the right cuter. The left one looks so flat and untended. (Mine always comes out like the one one the left of course *sigh* )
Bwahahaha! Who is the left person at a buffet, come on? Never seen that species. (But what I DO see a lot are those fabulous looking skinny ladies and gentlemen who take in lots of food and you know they'll keep looking more fabulous than you even if they eat the whole building down.... TT_TT )
When I was in my early twenties, vanity was definitely my main motivation for working out. in my mid twenties through late 30s, I was doing sports and improved performance was my main motivation. Injuries from a car accident got me into swimming in my early 40s and for the next 10 years I worked on that. Now I'm in my 60s and my main motivation is avoiding osteoporosis as my mother had her first fracture when she wasn't much older than I am now.
I'm in my 50s and exercising for the same reason. I'm in just about every risk group for osteoporosis, so I'm doing prevention now. Walking with hiking poles gets your upper body into it and makes calcium deposits in your arm bones.
Load More Replies...MOOD. Samesies. I could relate to it all except your impressive passion for exercise. I need some of that!
I love your curves and all your edges all your perfect Imperfections ❤️
I saw both my adult daughters in these images. Great social commentary!
I like how people are sharing their motivation for working out. Unset dementia, after an injury, osteoporosis, etc. Mine? Zombies. I literally train just enough to outrun most people in case of a zombie apocalypse. I wish I was kidding. But no. In the absolute madness freak possibility of zombies… I guess I’ll be ready. Neurodivergent for the win
