Actually, this was me. I assure you, I was 12; it was 1991. Unfortunately, I did not grow up to be nearly as attractive as advertised, but still managed to find a great husband and our kids are better looking than either of us.

We only laugh because it's 2017. Most of these pics are from the 80s and early 90s when these outfits were the norm. It's funny, but it's not shocking or anything. In 30 years people are gonna look back on some of what we wear now and laugh...

These girls are dressed in the styles of the times. These fashions are only now associated with older women because they are worn by women who still dress like they did in their younger days.

Good point! Although some of the shoulder padded, bibbed dresses were the norm for girls and women's dresses in the 80's, while the men switched between really skinny ties and really fat ties.
