I Created A Photo Project Called “Farmily” Where I Capture Families And All Their Animals (30 Pics)
You always see family portraits on the walls of people’s homes, but for me, the family doesn’t stop with the people. What about all of our furred and feathered “Farmily” members? They are just as much a part of the family as any human component… so, I decided to change the way people look at family portraits! I travel the country photographing full “Farmily” portraits. We include everybody from the largest horse, to the smallest guinea pig, mouse, or snake.
In November of 2019, our beautiful little puppy joined the family. We named her Pixel. She is a black and white Australian shepherd. We spend a lot of our summers doing “Farmily” photo tours, where we go across the country photographing farms and pets along the way. Of course, little Pixel came with us on all of our 2020 tours. You can find her in some of the photos down below!

Each of our furred or feathered (and sometimes scaled) friends has its own unique personality, and each one is photographed in a way that will bring out that individual soul. We create a moment in time as it is right now… a moment that will never come again, as things change and animals come and go… many of my clients have me come back year after year to document the changes in their lives as time goes on.
I am the only full farm photographer in the world, that I know of. My goal is to travel the globe to photograph the different farms and lifestyles of people in many countries. One day I will write a book with all of the portraits and stories that go along with them.
Due to COVID, we were unable to do as many tours as we typically might do, but we did get out on the road and visit some great farms anyway. Pixel had a wonderful time at every farm we visited, and we managed to sneak her into all of our full farm portraits! See if you can spot her in some of the images—some are harder than others!

Thankyou. Loved these pictures. Backdrops, scenery. Don’t know how you got the animals to behave, but they were all enjoyable to see.
These are lovely, but it makes me wonder if the animals are composited into the portraits, otherwise it's quiet the choreography feat to have these lovely sentient creatures to stand in their particular spots for a photoshoot! Also the use of HDR is a little strong, but makes the picture vibrant nevertheless with over-saturated colors.
