Top companies spend big bucks on their logo. After all, it's the visual representation of their character. An easily digestible display of their core values. In other words, a company's logo is its face. And you bet your wallet they want to look appealing.

So it's only natural when up-and-coming designers try to prove their worth by recreating famous logos. "These guys get paid millions of dollars but I can do it better for a fraction of that cost." The ultimate power move.

Take a look at some of these recreations we found on sites like dribbble and Behance. Upvote your favorites and let us know what you think about them in the comments! Enjoy.

I thought that the three black lines were imitating a sound wave, therefore the current one is more appropriate. Also, IMO, the ''S' in the redesign just doesn't look right.

THink I prefer the original one, the eleven is clearer than the redesign...

Need to leave this one alone. They got it right the first time.

Very clever, I like it. And who doesn't know that it's 7/11? We don't have any anywhere remotely close and even I know it's seveneleven

Disagree - it's a logo. Personally I feel the "11" is very obvious, but even if it isn't, it doesn't matter for a logo. Besides, there's enough brand recognition with the colors alone.

Over time the logo looks less and less like a cup and straw. The cup is gone in the redesign.

I think the whole thing needs a revamp. It screams 1970's with the colors. =) I'm afraid with the 11 hidden in the 7 some people would just call it 7.

Like this one but somehow the angle of the 11 irks me. Sorry. I have no idea why I had to comment this.

wow, it is kinda obvious now that I've seen the redesign. It is as it should have been that already.

let's completely forget the important aspect of 'uniqueness' in branding.

Nah, the current is almost iconic. We don't even have them here but that sign is universal

In Taiwan, people just call it Seven. Is that what this is about?

The redesigned makes me think of it being used for nascar. Like a design for the #7 car or #11 if you remove the top part of that 7.

Current is better. It's supposed to represent a lens...it would be better if they put three lenses...since that's kind of the trend now.

I don’t like the redesigns that take away all the detail in the originals. They just look lazy and untalented.
