So here’s a tutorial you never thought you needed—how to make a face shield out of a Krispy Kreme box. If it wasn’t for the eventful 2020, these words would probably hardly ever appear in the same sentence, but here were are.

A YouTuber and magician from the United Kingdom, Andy Clockwise, recently shared a light-hearted video on how to craft yourself a face shield. “Andy Clockwise shows you how you can make your very own Krispy Kreme face shield using just the lid from a 12 box of Krispy Kreme doughnuts, some sticky tape, and a pair of scissors,” he writes. So, should we roll up our sleeves and get into it?

For this tutorial, you’ll need a clear-faced box—ideally, one that has doughnuts in it that you can eat beforehand. Of course, other boxes will do just as well, but we kind of believe that eating the doughnuts is one of the most important parts of the process.

To begin crafting the doughnut-y face shield, get the lid from the clear-faced box ready with some sticky tape and a pair of scissors.

Then, cut off the top of the box up to the crease, fold over the sides as arms, and secure it with tape. After that, all you’ll need to do is to measure the shield to fit your head right and cut slots to keep it in place.

And voilà! You have just made yourself a sweet-smelling, saliva-inducing face shield! Should we mention that the tutorial is done just for the laughs, and the face shield doesn’t actually protect you? No? Then we’re good!
