Face/Fake? My New Work Combining Family, Couples And Individuals Into A Single Entity.
I am a Tokyo based artist having an exhibition, “Face/Fake” is a playful exploration of how technology is transforming the way we showcase the human face.
As a creative director by day, i make my living at the cross section of creativity and new technology, constantly applying new learnings to progress his photography and art.
the new artworks are continuation from my Ju-nin-to-iro(One person, Ten Colors) exhibition from 2018 – an expression of individual diversity and emotions.
In this “face/fake” series, the familiar faces of local artists, musicians and actor’s faces are mashed together and remixed into something almost unrecognisable. The faces of friends and families are re-fabricated into a single entity, a celebration of individual bonds and a playful expression of the absurd.
