I Shot A Zero-Budget Professional Music Video In Astonishing Nature

Shot completely on a zero budget!

Love Nordic Viking music and would like to visit Slovenia? Fear not, with this video you can do both!

I had the opportunity to visit Slovenia. I was completely shocked by the beauty of the country and decided it would be a perfect place for the shooting of my next video clip. The video explores the spiritual, dark side of the places.

The first part of the video takes place in Rakov Škocjan, a wild karst valley not far away from the capital Ljubljana. It is a place in which you can walk through caves and see a river that appears from well below the earth, I visited that place often as one could feel complete and utter serenity in there.

The second location is Velika Planina. The Big Pasture Plateau is a karstified mountain plateau in the Kamnik–Savinja Alps. It is over 1500 meters above the sea level. One of the most amazing things in Velika Planina is that the clouds literally pass through the plateau. That is, at times, you are completely inside a cloud and you have a feeling that you are in a different world.

When we were shooting we barely met any people, giving the place a more secluded and holy feeling.

I believe that both places have been spiritually important centuries ago, at least, this is the way I see and feel them…

Watch the video to feel the other side of Slovenia, one of comforting darkness and beauty!

More about the video and filming:

Fun fact: as I was going for the filming there early in the morning, I was really hoping not to meet anyone…of course I had to have make-up that made me look as if I have died, and of course I had to wear a Russian looking hat to keep myself warm, and of course I had to run into someone… In this case, a group of twenty hikers ^^

They seemed a bit scared to see me there in the caves, looking the way I did. (wouldn’t you?) Finally, after a while they understood that I am not a strange cave creature that eats climbers.
