45 Times People Interacted With A ‘Karen’ And Shamed Their Behavior In This Online Group (New Pics)
Entitled people are annoying and we can't escape them, however, they also tend to provide us with endless hilarious content.
You could be casually walking your dog or patiently waiting in line for some coffee when, out of nowhere, a random stranger might approach you and start demanding that you prove you are allowed to do something or yell at you for doing it wrong. Despite their passion for nitpicking others, these people are also somehow the ones who confidently wear a wedding dress to a wedding as mere guests.
Getting to know all the possible situations in which you could accidentally interact with a 'Karen' might get you prepared to stand your ground more confidently and record it while you are at it because usually, those situations turn into comedy gold.

I'm Doing This From Now On Lol
Dealing with entitled customers is the worst nightmare that service workers constantly face. However, if you don’t get in contact with random people a lot, you might be lucky by only being acquainted with them through other people’s experiences. Their unrealistic expectations, inability to accept ‘no’ as an answer, and high demand for attention are typical entitled person behavior.
Run Away, And Never Come Back
What you need to do is go down to your local church, ask the priest for a reverse emancipation form, check the "child" box (it's between the forced labor box and the internment box). Get the form notarized by a religious leader, political leader and the local sheriff. Make 3 copies, have each one signed by a family member then shove them up your butt.

To work around such people, you will need to become more aware of your limits so you will immediately notice when your boundaries are being crossed. To set them, though, you consistently have to remind them of it. Another skill is assertiveness. It is important to be able to stand your ground when facing difficult people. However, it's better not to lose your cool and to stay as calm and polite as possible.

Most importantly, to maintain your mental health, just don’t take anything these people say or do personally. Our actions and perceptions reflect our mindset, and that is the same for entitled people. They are projecting their twisted sense of entitlement onto other people, which is not a commentary on your worth.

Everytime i see this I laugh. Most cultures love to see people try the clothes, hairstyles, foods that they have. It's only the really weird that hate it. Also if we're not allowed to try anything and just look or be like our 'culture; is, isn't that a form of segregation???
However, not everything revolves around those people and solving their behavioral problems, so just before going in contact, try to evaluate if the energy you will invest is worth it. Such people can be draining and harmful because they use psychological violence, and your mental health is more important than these people’s entitlement will ever be.

I have started telling people bluntly " it sounds like you have spent to much time on facebook, because thats not reality " It moves the "evidence" into the plattform it belongs and older people choke when they have to defent "internettknowlegde". i have had some sucsess in at least shutting down discussions by saying i wont listen to undocumented c**p from that site (and others) but its also fun to see their brain implode while working out the "logic" of why their info is good while everynone elses info is bad.

Imagine This Being Your Mom
I wouldn't worry too much, ma'am. "Andy" is so much better than what we're calling you.
"I get to decide what people call him"....how can you be THAT delusional?
Mom should start a separate fund for paying for Andy's mental therapy when he gets older. He is going to need it to deal with his mother issues.
My SIL named her son Aleksander and insisted that everyone should call him just that. This was in Australia mind, so that didn´t last!
Aleksander with "ks" instead of "x"? Probably a Russian family.
Load More Replies...That's ok sweety, let it be Andy. Because your nickname is going be B***H for the rest of your life.
You know what I have found? You'll get called what you'll answer to.
She should have given him a name you can't shorten! Stupid woman! My name is Rebecca Jane, but I've always been called Becky; if anyone calls me by my full name I feel like I'm back in school and about to be told off!
My first name is litterally only one syllable long, it can't be any shorter than that, but though it happens rarely, some people have managed to come up with nicknames anyway. Furthermore, it does not fit into the standard two syllables of the melody for "Happy Birthday", so people will have to be creative when singing that anyway.
Load More Replies...I'd think "Andy" sounds better then "the kid with the crazy a*s mom". Just my opinion, but do you Karen...
Well she clearly has a perfect life if something like this bothers her that much. Meanwhile, in Africa.. 😑😕
"I'm his mother and I get to decide what people call him" 🤦🏼♀️
You are overreacting, and his name should primarily be his business not yours. If he don't want to be an Adrew, but forexample a John, then let him change it. Andy or Andrew who (besides you) cares? As long as what they call him is not demeaning it shouldn't be a big issue. Just take comfort in the fact that if that is the biggest issue in your life, and you have enough time to spend so much of it on this, you are living a pretty good life. Now leave that principle alone, so he can spend some of his limited time on solving some of the real problems (like bullying) that might be in his scool.
Andy is a much tamer name than what were all calling you, and it's much better than the name of the place ur going
Hey, if Andy was an Aussie, he would be called Drew. Or something stupid like Navel Lint. Kids will always get a nickname.
I hope your husband is heading to a lawyer for a divorce. I hope he gets custody, for little Andy's sake.
Maybe HE WANTS to b called Andy. Maybe he doesn't CARE or HATES Andy, but clearly THAT doesn't matter to her
My brother was called by a nickname when he was little. When he started school, he decided he wanted to be called by his actual first name. When the teacher relayed this information to my mom, she did the sane thing - asked him about it, he confirmed that he wanted to be called his first name, and then we collectively CALLED HIM WHAT HE WANTED TO BE CALLED. A name is a *gift* you give your child before you even know them. They are not obligated to like what you chose for them, be it their legal name or their nickname. It's theirs, not yours, and while you can call them what you like, it's what they like that matters.
Move to Florida. Under a new rule issued by the Florida Board of Education in July, parents must give consent for schools to call their child by a nickname, or any “deviation from the child's legal name.” The rule, according to a Board presentation, will “strengthen the rights of parents and safeguard their child's educational record ...
I like to be called by my given name, but it took me a while to grow into. I hate being called Dee.
My mum purposely gave my brother and I two syllable names so they couldn't be shortened to nicknames
My friends boy is called Andy. School thought he had a hearing problem as he often ignored the teacher. They found out is was because the teacher would use 'Andrew' when talking to him, so he didn't realise they meant him. School got shorty that they don't use nicknames, only full names. Friend had to take his birth certificate in to prove that his full name was Andy!
I have a child named Andrew whom I don't want called Andy either. I prefer Drew. If kids end up calling him that I have no problem. However I recently saw a friend of mine who I haven't seen in years that goes by Andy. He met my son and the first thing he asked was what do we call him. I told him we call him Andrew. He then tells me he wished people would call him Drew or Andrew, but there was nothing he could do because the shortened Andy was given to him as a child and it stuck. This person is right to be worried, but that is not the way to go about it.
Reminds me of my dad’s parents’ outrage when he chose to call himself something other than David (at 12/13 years old) because there were six other David’s in his class. “Dave” was acceptable but the other boys were also called Dave, so that didn’t work for him. Obviously, I wasn’t aware of the original outrage but they continued to give him c**p about it until they died. He’s in his mid70’s, his older sister still calls him Dave. The appalling name he chose for himself? Julian.
My uncle was this way with his son Matthew. He said that his name was not Matt. He wasn't something you walked on.... People just need to learn to let things go.
My godson gave himself a nickname. Almost everyone, including his parents, calls him that. I always call him by his given/legal name. My reasoning is that I was there when he was born. I get to call him what I want to, AND it's his name.

I've got to admit that I still find the excuse of "Oh well it's a meme so it's okay" doesn't sit well with me. It must be truly horrible to be called Karen - no matter what you do or who you are there must be that constant feeling of being judged for no reason. I just don't get how people who appear to otherwise understand how damaging microagressions are to people just swing away at the name Karen without a second thought. It's lazy, it's another way of pitting women against women, and the sooner it dies out the better.
