30 Soon-To-Be Married People Exposed For Their Sense Of Entitlement (New Pics)
Interview With ExpertEvery bride and groom wants a perfect wedding. It ideally only happens once in a lifetime, and wanting the event to turn out exactly how they envisioned it is understandable.
However, some would step on other people’s toes just to let things fall into place, which is unacceptable. Thankfully, we have the internet to expose such entitled behavior.
Scroll through to find screenshots showing ridiculous requirements, self-serving actions that put other guests in potential danger, and monetary gift requests to fund a honeymoon. Hopefully, you have never experienced any of these.
You will also find our interview with Kaitlin Shea, a Colorado-based wedding planner. She was kind enough to share her insights on entitled clients.

YOU GET ONE DAY. ONE. NOT THE WHOLE YEAR.
“Lose Weight If You Want To Be My Maid Of Honour”
Wedding planners like Kaitlin regularly deal with demanding clients. As she told Bored Panda, such behavior usually comes from people close to the couple, like parents, siblings, and entourage members. They usually have unwelcome opinions, which Kaitlin says frustrates the couple and makes them feel stifled.
“Your wedding opinions will absolutely matter when planning your own wedding, but when your job is to support another bride or groom, kindly put those opinions to the side,” she said.
Just When You Think The Bridezilla Requests Can't Get Any More Ridiculous
I'm a maid of honor in my friends wedding. She goes by her middle name which is Rachel... My first name is Rachel. I am honestly unsure how to answer. Like ma'am I'm not changing my name for your wedding.

I Had A Bad Feeling About Her. Run Bro
Wedding ceremonies are monumental life events, and Katilin says its magnitude is likely why people can act unreasonably. However, you can prevent such tense moments from arising, and here’s her advice.
“Have plans in place for everything, so that if someone tries to throw a wrench in the works, you have a backup,” Kaitlin said.

Like people in customer service, handling difficult people is part of the job description of being a wedding planner. Kaitlin has her own method of handling these personalities: setting clear boundaries.
“Their own personal drama is NOT your personal drama, even if they try to make it so,” she explained. You can care deeply without sacrificing your sanity for what, at the end of the day, is still a job.”

Oh Yeah, That Guy Jon Is Coming Too
They were on a break!! Wait, that was the other thing
Load More Replies...I suspect this was meant to be funny; most likely expressing how - haha! - the wedding is the bride's big day; the bride directs it all, while the groom is just a quiet bystander (because she is so dominant, haha, or because he doesn't really care and would rather get drunk with his mates anyway, hoho!). Or, I mean, maybe this was Emilie's fifth wedding, and it featured Jon (as opposed to the previous ones, which featured Dave, Eric, Mark, and Mitch respectively).
Maybe Jon was the MC? The main course on the menu? I'm so confused.
Entitled Bride To Be
Let’s hope your finance comes to his senses & dumps your cruel, shallow a*s.
For many people, living in the internet age means wanting to look good for the ‘gram. Because of this, Carson says people are now heavily focused on turning their weddings into fashion events.
As he points out, some guests may feel hassled by outfit requirements, adding to the already hefty cost of attending a wedding. Therefore, brides and grooms should expect some attendees to “go rogue” and ignore the guidelines.

How Dare Someone Be Pregnant At My Wedding!! I Understand Not Wanting To Host Events, But The Anger At Grandparents Buying Gifts And The Me!!!! Attitude Is So Entitled
Reality TV and social media influencers have created a society of narcissists who think the world revolves around them. A culture that worships nobodies, in turn making nobodies feel entitled to the same adulation. It's grotesque.
We’d like to hear from you, readers. Have you experienced entitled behaviors from brides and grooms? How did you handle them? Share your stories in the comments!

Setting unrealistic expectations could be a sign of pre-wedding stress. It’s likely a result of the hyperfocus on making things “perfect” and running according to plan. According to psychologist Dr. Paulette Kouffman Sherman, managing expectations could relieve stress.
In an interview with Brides, Dr. Sherman suggests aiming for excellence rather than perfection to help manage expectations

You may read screenshots of people posting their Venmo accounts as a request for a cash gift. A 2023 registry study by The Knot revealed that 74% of wedding registry creators prefer to receive money from guests instead of traditional utensils and other home starters.
Some couples use the cash to fund their honeymoons or shoulder expenses for their first homes.

It is definitely more important that you have a prawn, screw your friends health, roll them under the table when they collapse so they are not a trip hazard for others. Ffs.
This Is As Tacky As It Gets.... Not Even A "Buy The Bride A Drink" Just $$$ Pls
I always wonder if these things are intended for the wedding guests and just haven't been erased yet or are targeting randos? Tacky either way, but the former seems far less bad IMHO
Not As Bad As Some, But Definitely Up There
Re: "No Apple watches" What's your policy on longcase clocks?
According to events director Bryce Carson, this trend has occurred over the past decade. But as he told Fortune in an interview, it isn’t always a cash grab.
“Couples are getting married a little bit older in life. They’re already combining their homes,” he explained. “They do not need two sets of everything.”
How Dare Someone Else Get Married During A Covid Bride’s Wedding Year!!!
Some years ago, it was *my* day; now, it's *my* year. Soon, this flock of imbeciles will demand *my* decade. The biggest problem, in my opinion, is this trend is growing because people are paying too much attention to their invented dramas. If we just told them to f-off the moment they start with their unhinged demands, they would stop. No, I couldn't care less about your wedding, your dress or what colour you sister in law's dress is. Nobody cares. Really. We couldn't care less.

Load More Replies...I'd far rather have a perfect marriage than a perfect wedding, and save up money for a house deposit rather than spending a bomb on just one day.
Since we've moved on from when men and women didn't leave home until they married, and only he worked, I'm amazed that weddings still appear to be so important for people. We spent £120 on ours. I would have thought that the younger generation weren't so obsessed with showing off that they've bagged a husband...and they moan about not having enough money to buy a house, but spend 25k or more on a party. Absurd.
Where are the groomzilla's ?? Where are the blokes shouting MY wedding. Why don't I see a man asking powertools from a specific serie? Which guy gonna demand free BBQ for all and allows only beer straight from the bottle (beer from cans will be tolerate but only if is it's stronger) !!!
I know these are just a tiny number of people who are getting married so they are a blip on the map, but honestly I expect they'll run out friends really fast for these types of requests
My wife and I were married at a small, inexpensive wedding chapel on the beach. Her dress came from a thrift store, and she was beautiful. (Still is, 22 years later) Had the reception at home, entered our marriage free from stress and debt.
Nice! Hubby and I had ours on the patio of our favorite pub. Invited all our friends to a "get-together". No dress code, no gifts, no stress. Only friends who knew ahead of time were the ones acting as witnesses and the one who was officiating. Pub provided complimentary champagne, we paid for food, and friends bought their own drinks. No stress, all fun!

I’m reading this on Thanksgiving morning in the US and it’s given me a lot to be thankful for, honestly. Mostly thankful that an isolated childhood led to enough reclusive tendencies that I didn’t absorb this cultural programming. But also thankful for the laugh, half of these were so bad it was like satire.
