The turban thing is completely ludicrous. I'm all for racial sensitivity, and many of those costumes are clearly of a different era, but stop it with the ultra woke stupidity and grow a brain already.

I don't think anyone cares if you wear a sombrero anyways. A good rule of thumb that I found on the internet for cultural appropriation vs cultural blending/adoption/whatever you want to call it. Does the average population wear it? If yes, make sure you know a bit of the history of whatever it is you're interested in and are being respectful to the culture you're borrowing from. So, sombrero's are fine, but don't make a butt of yourself by doing a crappy accent while wearing one.

Almost this whole post is crap. How is food racist? I see them judging the rabbi costume, but where's the photo of the nun costumes that thousands of people wear every year? Yes... I was wondering if they removed any Bob Ross costumes because of the hair. I am white, and own a turban, and don't consider it racist at all, as it was last worn by a white flapper in Louisiana 1922 . I am also torn over the "bamboo hat". I live in the subtropics, and have owned such a hat, and don't feel racist or "appropriating" ... it's just a really good shape that sheds the rain.

For the afro, they specified the colour black. I suspect the colour is the issue. I do remember white people with afros way back, but their hair colour was its natural tone, usually brown or blonde.
