Yesterday saw the season seven premiere of HBO's Game of Thrones, and a record-breaking 16.1 million viewers tuned in to follow the fates of their favorite characters for another run of blood and betrayal. But they also tuned in for another plot twist, namely to see global megastar famous singer Ed Sheeran make his much-anticipated cameo appearance. The "Shape of You" singer appeared in a scene with Arya Stark while dressed in a suit of armor, but while he may have been a shining knight for some, others on Twitter weren't quite so convinced by Sheeran's random acting career start as a Westerosi. See below for some of the funny reactions, and don't forget to vote for your favorite! After all, Ed Sheeran's Game of Thrones performance is not something to be missed... Right?

He's probably laughing all the way to the bank, as my father used to say!
that was exactly my reaction...I did not know he is going to appear on GoT. Then I shared with other people who watch GoT and they were like "...yeah...we knew he will be there....that was previously announced". I am not a crazy fan who follows the news, but....seeing all jokes, it seems I am not the only one who did not know about that...
This is so true. The scene minus-Sheeran was all about humanizing the Lannister soldiers and presenting Arya with a moral dilemma.
At least the guys from mastodon LOOKED like wildings, this, this no
Yeah, because it's a given that everybody knows who Ed Sheeran is AND how he looks like. No chance anybody just saw a randome dude :)
I really don't get why it's such a thing...If i had a chance to act on GoT even for a small role, I would, so I'm not blaming Sheeran for having the role. Just like Simon Pegg or Daniel Craig participated to Star Wars. Why get so distract by so such insignificant thing?
This door can never be closed. Ed shall forever be made fun of for being in GoT. His career and memes shall revolve around it for all time.
