Hi, I'm Chris, I've been a long-time reader of Bored Panda, and I thought I'd share some of my pencil drawings. Just like most creatives, I've been drawing since I was young, they weren't great, but I was proud of them... Okay, that is not 100% truth. I am embarrassed by some of the pencil sketches that I drew and gave to my friends back in high school (here's hoping that they threw them away ha!), but luckily I've improved. I'm also mostly self-taught. I did have a 1-semester stint at my local college's beginning Art class where I learned quite a lot and tried to hone my skills from then on but to no avail, unfortunately.

Not so much that I started to forget what I've learned rather I didn't have enough clear vision of what I want my art style to be. So I drew and drew and drew - some belong in the dump while some I can proudly say I "drew that!" It wasn't until two years later when I did a Tiger (posted here) and a Quetzal that I started to get an idea of what I want to draw, my style, etc. However, I didn't realize that and still strayed and went on to experiment with other art mediums. Fast forward to 2014, I found my way back, and that has now become my style and continually try to make it better.

The process in creating my art can be as simple as illustrating the entire artwork on a single piece of paper to doing several drawing ideas on separate sheets of paper and bringing them together in Photoshop to create the whole image. I'm inspired by music, shows (anime mostly), nature, or draw whatever my mind decides to come up with, and animals have been the main characters of my art... Partly because I don't know how to draw people (human anatomy is a... well you know haha). Hopefully, one day, I'll be able to include people in my beautiful drawings too.

Whoops, I wasn't intending to write all that but enjoy my animal drawings!
