Growing up I've always been a fan of the macabre and darker aspects of art and literature. Edward Gorey's Gashlycrumb Tinies was that perfect blend of creepy content with a playful style that made it easy to absorb while looking at unfortunate accidents. I wanted to pay tribute to Edward Gorey and create my own ABC's of demise.

I also wanted to share this creation with my fans and released it through my clothing brand, Any Means Necessary, which has been an extension of my art through prints, books, and clothing and has allowed us to raise awareness on mental health through dark art through my 2016 and 2018 series, Inktober Illness.

I've been an artist as far back as I can remember, from being 5 years old drawing dinosaurs, to my teenage years drawing horror creatures. I started out with just pencils at first and then ventured into the world of acrylics and oils before I found my comfort in watercolor and digital illustration.

I think the darkness is intriguing. I've always rooted for the villains and am always excited to see new creature designs as they always tend to be more interesting than the protagonists in films and comics.

The most challenging part of the creative process is taking the initial concept that I see in my mind and trying to translate it as closely as possible onto the medium I create it in. Sometimes it works, and other times it's a train wreck that if I'm lucky ends up coming out better than I had seen in my mind.

I just love creating. Taking a blank canvas and conjuring up something from nothing. It's the closest thing to being a wizard, and much like a wizard, I can wear pajamas all day while creating.

I just finished up my first-ever 78-card tarot deck that I successfully raised almost 200k for on Kickstarter, I'm working on a new mental illness series, as well as my first-ever comic book that will one day come out. Hopefully soon. So, stay tuned!

Yeah, it's a pretty common problem. Always have someone else go over your math before playing with uranium.
