When Myle's mum first came into my photography studio I could tell straight away how much of a Batman fan she was! As if the Batman socks, belt and watch didn't give it away, she pulled out a Batman soft toy and asked if I could create a Batman inspired newborn image to add to her baby gallery! At the time I had no other props on the spot but I knew I had to do something special for her and so with a vague idea in mind, I took a photo of Myle's in a simple wrap.

Later on, I decided on what my plan would be and using Photoshop, I designed a composite photo to create Newborn Baby Batman! Myle's mum loved the result and the idea of 'Poppets' was born! Since that day, I have added to the Poppet collection more superheroes such as baby Thor, Spiderbub (spiderman) and my own personal favourite Harley Quinn (I know, she's supposed to be a villain, but I just love her attitude!).

I've also made Star wars and princess poppets, even Winnie the Pooh! Each of these Poppets takes about a day to create but I love making them and between mums and other photographers requests and my own ideas, there's many more to come.
