A couple of years ago I did a personal project, copying famous paintings using photographs. I was still learning my own photographic style at that time. Though I no longer copy famous paintings, I still use them for inspiration and I have been applying the things that I learned to the photographs that I take of my children.

I love capturing my children in an artistic way, and my kids enjoy it too. As a homeschooling mother, I’m always on the lookout for creative educational activities. Together my kids and I spend time browsing paintings and brainstorming our next piece of artwork. My kids will often comment, “I want to pose in one like that, Mommy”. It helps to make the art more memorable, and it’s fun too!
