Breeder Abandoned 5-Month-Old Pomeranian Because He Was “Too Big”, They Probably Regret It Now
Dogs may be man’s best friend but this doesn’t mean that man is always friendly towards dogs. Whether it’s dog fighting, abuse or neglect there are some people out there who are pretty cruel to these animals. Bertram the Pomeranian learned this horrible lesson when he was left behind by his breeders because he was ‘too big to sell.’ Luckily for Bert, New York artist Kathy Grayson found him on petfinder and immediately decided to adopt the pup.
Originally listed as “Jasper,” she said there was something about his eyes that caught her attention. “I flew to Tulsa and drove to the town to pick him up, it was a wonderful adventure. The shelter was sad to see him go, he definitely had gotten some special extra love there,” Grayson told Bored Panda.
The gallery owner isn’t the only one who noticed something special about Bert, the internet has fallen in love with the Pomeranian and he now has over 93k followers on Instagram.
In his spare time, he works as an “art connoisseur” in his owner’s gallery The Hole. “I love when people come to the gallery to see Bertie or when they bring their dogs to meet Bertie! The gallery is free and open to the public so come on by and pet him!” said the artist.
When it comes to Bert’s incredible social media success, his owner says she is not surprised, “Bert is a wonderful guy and makes people happy, the internet and social media is built for cute animals, people need an antidote to all the nastiness.”

Share on FacebookThose breeders are morons and shouldn't be in the business of producing live animals. Bertram is adorable and I'm glad he found a loving home.
People who buy dogs from breeders are morons too. He wouldn’t have thrown him away if his clientele wasn’t so picky.
Load More Replies...I follow Bertram on Instragram and they actually put him in a Paddington costume at one point and he certainly is the spitting image!
Load More Replies...Aw, he's adorable! In a few of the photos he looks like he's singing!! How heartless must you be to leave a little cutie pie like that behind? Not that any animal should be treated like that.
I have a Pom with a similar story--tossed away years ago by a puppy mill breeder. Mine needed years of work to fix the damage done to her mind/body by that inhuman POS. However, I saw her on the Mill Rescue's site and I NEEDED her.
