Right! It's like posting a picture of my dog as a puppy and wondering why no one guesses "pitweiler." Probably because "American Pit Bull Terrier" is a breed... and "Rottweiler" is a breed... but "pitweiler" is not a breed, but a mix. The day they (kennel clubs - such as AKC, UKC, etc.) formally register "maltipoo" and "cavoodle" is the day they can be called a "breed."

8/20 I obviously don't know my dog breeds. Some of them I'd never heard of.

That's because a lot are crosses and are not recognized by the AKC
