I have spent years training my dog to be a good girl after her puppyhood was spent in a horrible home. Yes, she is an amazing dog and I am so proud of her for overcoming her anxieties with our help of proper diet, care, training, etc.

I have a baby, and my family keeps saying that my dog will be a good big sister! But, I have never considered my pets to be my "child" like my family does, I think it is kinda silly. I am excited for the day my child and my dog become good friends, but I think it's weird to call my dog my childs "big sister". How do YOU feel about it?

Nah, my current cat is more of a freeloading roommate....

no my evil demon cat is like my mischievous little sister who acts like an angel around my mom but then goes full demon mode when she is alone with me

No, because I would never make my child live outside (he's a farm dog).
He is my bestie tho.

I relate to you the most out of everyone who replied to my question! Except, my dog is an indoor dog who kind of helps around the farm, she CAN herd the ducks but chooses not to do it properly haha! She was not trained well by her previous owners :( She is a mixed breed of labrador and cattle dog and her labrador brain prefers to chase the ducks while her cattle dog brain prefers to keep them away from me while I gather eggs 🤷🏽‍♀️

No. I think of my dog as my (sometimes annoying) baby brother. he is still sort of a baby. and he's not MY dog, he's our family dog
