When I was little, my dad who was divorced from my mom, couldnt afford a tree one year, so he cut one out of wrapping paper and taped it to the wall. To me it was the greatest thing in the world. Fast forward to my 20s, living alone with my cat and broke. I did the same that Christmas, even made a paper Angel. Again, it was one if my favorite trees ever.

Not sure if this counts as a cool Christmas tree, but my Christmas tree is black. It has red lights and only red lights. And it has white, clear, and red ornaments! Oh.... There is also a pentagram as the star. I'm being serious, this is my tree theme this year and im proud of it! My family actually came up with the idea.
This was so much fun to see. Thank you. I decorated mine with Christmas elves I bought forty years ago. They perch on each branch. Three different sizes; red and green.

My mother in law was very proud of her blue and white artificial tree one year. So proud, in fact, that she plastic wrapped the whole tree with the decorations still on it and put it in the storage unit. The next year she took it out, unwrapped it, replaced a few broken bulbs and she had the same tree as last year with about 10 minutes of set up effort. Genius!
