I Make Art To Cope With Depression And Here Are 30 Of My Best Digital Paintings
About year and a half ago, I was depressed... and then I found drawing.
At first, it was simple for me, and I started to put all my thoughts and feelings into it. It was very comfortable to find a way out the darkness, there are many different ways, my art was mine, and I hope you will feel something!

My ideas are usually coming from how I feel. If I feel like I have heavy thoughts, I'll try to get rid of that feeling or just make it easier for me by painting it and sharing it with people. It's a real scientific way to cope, I think. Then I think about the easiest visual way to produce my idea... maybe I can draw just a couple of lines, maybe it has to be a complete color picture. Whichever I feel would be right and direct to the viewer's heart.
This is exactly how I feel. You have that lump in your throat and tears that stream down your face, each one is like a blade drawing a line into your skin.
It's not difficult to come up with ideas, what's difficult is to paint them, to have energy and such. I'm always overwhelmed by those feelings, it's like an inner storm I face. Finishing one piece usually takes 6-12 hours depending on the details.
wow. It's as if your depression is pulling the strings on what you're allowed to speak aloud.
All other artists inspire me. Just the idea that someone picked up the pen and tried to create what's in their mind. I think we are all born with our unique style, but it's not in making the eyes bigger or the nose smaller. It's about the personality in your lines and the way you color, so it's just a matter of time - after you master copying, you'll start to create.
I started my painting career just to feel better and I think my goal is to continue doing that. I hope to keep helping myself and other people through what I paint and what I say.
I have drawn things like this before only with the entire body and more words, Thank You for showing me I'm not alone. I have extremely bad depression and can't find my way out. Thank You.
There are so many of us like this... struggling day after endless day. I don't know if it helps at all, but you really aren't alone. Even though it feels like it. Also, it would be great if you felt like sharing your art, somehow. Because I guarantee it will resonate with someone else, just like this art moved you.

She didn't write this on her face; a narcissistic parent, or a bully did, slowly, over time. It is an external criticism that obliterates her own face and replaces it with this awful word, that someone else wrote and that has nothing to do with her. I hope she is still intact underneath.
Music is powerful. Even when it gets hard, it is the one thing that will always be there for you, no matter what.
I think this are all beautiful because you are expressing yourself and they are all really good
I belive that I have depression and I just feel like I'm in someone else's life and I don't belong in this body or universe
I hope more people will be able to view your work. These are truly what art is meant to do and that is to touch each of us in our own way, to find meaning in each painting and know that we are not alone. It's a sharing of the heart and soul that needs no words to communicate. I hope I expressed myself so others understand what I am trying to say. It's so hard to express the feelings these paintings inspire me with.
Hi, I also have depression..I’m not a very good artist..how can I do this? I love drawing but I can’t make anything turn out right, and I just get even more sad if I’m trying to make myself feel better. I have anxiety and depression, so please tell me what I can do.
I don’t really know if I can help very much, but I would say you should draw whatever and however you want, it doesn’t have to be “good”, it should just express how you feel.

I really wish I could draw like this. Excellent shading, blending, and overall really amazing art style! I can see just how much effort you put into learning and nurturing that raw but amazing talent into a skill that can blow people away with it’s expressiveness, it’s attention to detail, and it’s incredible focus on light to dark values, form, blending, and colors, combining it all to create pieces like this that touch people to the very core of their soul. Amazing work, and I hope that you keep drawing because you are amazing at it.
I've shown this to my early thirties female coworker and she exploded. Yes she's now asking for a pumpkin spice on Starbucks, doing a Karen because she has forgotten this is a new month
Of course you can! Don't ever be afraid to be proud of yourself. Even for the small achievements :)
