Desert Reflections: A Series Of Surreal Self-portraits In Joshua Tree

Last week I headed over to Joshua Tree National Park to create a new photo series of surreal self-portraits. The goal was to experiment with reflections and explore the various ways I could creatively photograph myself.

I brought my camera, tripod, and mirror (which eventually fell and shattered). The photographs were taken over the course of 3 hours, and most of them involved a level of digital manipulations.

    Well, I'm a Photoshop user and yet I haven't figured out how the first photo - holding the mirror with two hands - was done. Very clever!

    I love these... it leaves you with questions like "where the hell is the camera?" Then you think and figure it out but still.. great work

    Loved the first 2, the rest was not nearly on the same level (concept and execution).

    yeah those ones are great, the last one is actually my favorite and definitely involved the most work (in terms of concept+execution).

    Everyone has their reasons for doing things. I really shouldn't say this, but would rather see something other than this that he's done.
