Once upon a time in tiny village in Romania, there was a girl dog living happily in somebody’s back yard. She was getting fed almost daily and she had her little dog house. Although it wasn’t much, at least she had shelter and security.
One day the girl dog felt an urge to escape the yard and join the gang of the free dogs. She run away from home to roam the streets with the big dogs. It was fun and dreamy at first but soon the hunger stroke. Sleeping under the stars was cold and no fun at all. Food was scarce and the people on the streets were mean to the free dogs. Many times she got hit by the mean people.
One day she remembered her old yard and her little dog house so she went back home. She was so happy to go back home to her family. Her people let her in for a while, but when it became clear that she will soon have puppies, the people chased her away and told her to never come back.
She ran away once again but this time she was sad and alone and fearful for her puppies’ fate. The big day came and she gave birth to four beautiful pups (two boys and two girls). She found a whole in the ground on the side of a road and she raised her puppies there. Sometimes people would stop and gave her food. But most of the time it was mean people trying to hit her and her puppies out of the way.
One day a nice woman spotted her and decided to give her a chance. The woman took all five of them to the vet where they were vaccinated and dewormed and the mom dog was spayed.
The nice woman found a foster for the little family too. Life in foster care is a little better, but the mom dog is sadder than ever. She is losing weight and she is fearful for her puppies. Will they all get a home? Will they ever have a loving family of their own?
There is a sadness and a fear in these dogs eyes, that it breaks your heart when you look at them. A loving family will change their lives forever. Would you like to be that person who makes a difference by adopting one of these pups? If yes, please message us on our Facebook page www.facebook.com/VoiceForTheNeedy
If you can’t adopt, please share their story.
Thank you!
