Delusional Boss Threatens To Fire Employees If They Don’t Come To Work When Having Covid-19, People Are Roasting Him Hard

There are two types of managers in this world: ones that actually care for their workers, their health and safety (your Richard Bransons and Corie Barries); and those who only care for money and all the ways it can be accumulated. Doesn’t matter if it’s raining in fiery, crushing meteors, or a deadly pandemic is on the loose threatening the entire human race — either you come to work, ignore what the world’s finest experts and safety warnings say, or start looking for another job.

As the user ‘keiara2000‘ shared on his Imgur account, an anonymous boss send their employees a threatening and belittling email saying that they will do everything in their power (which, in this unfortunate case, is absolute) to fire anyone who “worries about spreading Covid to coworkers” as it is only a “simple flu.”

We all know where the last powerful person who ignored Covid regulations altogether ended up being (here’s a hint: not a president). And that “Manager of the Year” award? Well, we know where it’s definitely not going.

The ongoing pandemic is hard to live by as it is, putting safety and careers in a never-ending flux

And what makes it even more challenging are the ignorant managers who would rather put a worker’s safety in jeopardy than lose another penny

People in the comments couldn’t believe how senseless and oppressive this manager was

I'm an ICU nurse, and I've lost track of how many patients I've seen die of COVID. I know I only see the worst cases, that most people survive the disease with no problem, but FYI anyone who comes to the ICU with COVID has an excellent chance of dying of the disease. It's serious. It's incurable. It's deadly. It's horribly unpleasant even in the moderate stages - can you imagine being so short of breath that you just can't eat a meal? So I'm going to say to everyone here what I say to everyone: THERE IS NO CURE, THERE IS ONLY PREVENTION. WASH YOUR HANDS, COVER YOUR FACE, AVOID CONTACT WITH STRANGERS, AND FOR F**K'S SAKE GET VACCINATED. And stay the hell home if you're sick. You may not get seriously ill from it, but someone you work with might, or their mother or their baby might.

Thank you so much for what you are doing. My sister is a doctor of infectious diseases and she sat us down early on and explained the stages. And holy frick the speed it can go from "well I feel a little bit off" to in ICU and most probably going to die is scary.

I can't describe how much I hate bosses encouraging or, moreover, forcing people to come to the office sick and spread infections. First of all, "the simple flu" for one person can land another in hospital for weeks. Secondly, even if it is indeed a very mild harmless virus - I still don't want it. People who don't care about their employees' safety have no business holding any managing positions.

This! I haven't had the flu in years, I don't seem to get sick from it. But a cold, "just a simple cold" can put me down for a week. You don't know who might get really sick from something that's not much bother for you.

This is one of those awful people who boast that they never missed a day of school/work in their life because they were sick. Even if such claims are true, which is highly unlikely, what about all the others you infected, you selfish jerk!
