South Airport Apartment used to be a low-income social housing in Taipei, Taiwan. It had extremely complex programs and intense population inside. The architecture itself is interesting: each unit shares one opened-vertical staircase, and based on this type of layout it gets an internal courtyard. All the residents could have lots of interactions here. The first floor is almost like a public space and right now it is for marketing purposes. The existence of South Airport Apartment is a surreal scenery in the Taipei city, just like Kowloon Walled City which make a cyberpunk view for Hong-Kong. Before it’s fall, Let’s record it.
