50 Funny Comics With Unexpected, Sometimes Dark Endings By SpaceboyCantLOL (New Pics)
Interview With ArtistDon't be fooled. Some of these comics might seem cute at first, but then, unexpectedly, they hit hard with a dark turn.
Mohit Srivastava from India is the creator of SpaceboyCantLOL comics. His love for comics started in childhood, and that love followed him into adulthood. Since these comics range from light-hearted to quirky to very dark very quickly, there is a comic for everyone's taste. Mohit is also a big fan of superheroes, which is why you will see a lot of references to superheroes and other pop culture characters.
To catch up, see SpaceboyCantLOL's previous comic posts shared on Bored Panda here and here.

Bored Panda reached out to Mohit to learn more about him and his work. Since Mohit’s comics were shared before, we were wondering what has changed since the last post. He shared: “As we all know that the world has gone through a lot in the last few years and is still going through new problems every day, I'd say that the biggest change in my own life has been to be consciously kind to everyone in my life.”
“It's a little sad on my part, actually, that I couldn't post a single comic for almost 2 years as my day job was a little demanding. I lost my job late last year, but this time I did not proceed to look for something new because I'd been thinking, what if this brand, SpaceboyCantLol, can become my full-time job and somehow support me while I get to do what I love and spread some smiles more often than ever before? It's a little scary, and I don't know if that's possible, but I have decided to give it a shot anyway and see what can come out of it. Spaceboy will be on many other social channels within a month because I have been working on it secretly in my dungeon. Fingers crossed! And will stay crossed till I find a breakthrough.”
We are all waiting with anticipation for Mohit to share what he was working on in that dungeon, but in the meantime, we got to learn his creative process in detail. “I'd say there are 3 parts to it.”
“Idea - My honest answer is, I can't exactly control this. Ideas hit me at the most random times of the day when I am not even trying to come up with something. In other words, I will say, give yourself time to get bored! Because when you are not distracted by anything, your brain goes out of survival mode into the realm of creativity, and ideas naturally start to flow in. Another thing that I've been doing for a decade is journaling down those ideas on my phone so that I could build them up later. Not just for my comics but also other creative stuff.”
“Creation - I don't script anything particularly or make any rough sketches, etc. I just pick an idea from my precious million-dollar journal of ideas, make adjustments in my head and jump straight to business because I somewhat want this to be a free-flowing experience and as true to my personality as possible. I generally draw on Photoshop and Procreate, but also looking into Toon Boom for animation currently because they have a free version.”
“Posting - Although I didn't have a system for this, I recently realized that my comic gets better visibility during specific days and times of posting. So that's what I plan on maintaining and also exploring new ways to reach out to a wider audience.”
true, the first thing darwin did was taste all of the animals, and discoveredhow delicious they are
Mohit already has quite a collection of comics, so we were wondering if by any chance he has a favorite. “This comic is particularly memorable for me because this was my first comic to become a meme template and go viral within 48 hours. Even though this comic didn't see much engagement on my own page, somewhere in the multiverse of internet platforms it was deemed worthy, and I still see hilarious versions of this running often on multiple pages.”
“Another such comic was this. I still can't believe people are tattooing this and doing photo shoots about it. The more I grow up, the more I realize I probably don't know anything about how the world works. This was insanely rewarding for my soul,” shared Mohit.
We just had to know Mohit’s plans for the future and what fans should expect. “I now plan to go all out on YouTube, in addition to other social channels. I want to create animated/live-action content and even collaborate with people interested in working with me to create a wider variety of content. Of course, I will update all my followers as I start with future plans, but if someone reading this wants to co-create with me as a writer, artist, animator, etc., please hit me up!
Also, those who understand the Hindi language can check out one of the other pages I used to write and sometimes draw comics for. It's called Taglrindia. I am no more associated with it, but I plan on creating a page for Indian readers specifically if I find the right resources in the future,” Mohit wrote.
And lastly, Mohit added, “Right off the bat, please come check out my work. Now that I've gotten my blatant self-promotion out of the way, to anyone who's reading this, especially if you call yourself a creative person, it's time to pursue your creative expression in full throttle. This is probably the golden age of content creation, and you can build a good life for yourself by creating content. And it's infinitely better than going to a job you don't like. Think about it. Jumping out of your bed to go to work because you just can't wait. Whaaaaat!!!!”

Why do you post something like this? Does it make you feel good? Does it make you happy inside? Are you hoping the person who drew these sees your comment and becomes offended? I’m genuinely asking, I can’t see any reason for posting something like this.
