“A Fun Way To Approach Topics That Many Of Us Experience”: 23 Relatable Charts I Made
I started creating charts 1.5 years ago about my life when I felt I needed to let out some of the frustrations I had as a woman in her 30s. I thought it was a fun way to approach topics that many of us experience and I combined this with flashy colors that I have always been amazed by.
Most of the time I illustrate lighter themes such as dating in 2023 but sometimes I enjoy depicting more abstract ideas such as relationships and well-being with charts.

I have been doing graphic design as a side hustle for three years now where I designed notebooks and prints with witty Hungarian texts. Last year I felt that I needed a break from these types of illustrations and was looking for a new method that is not yet overused but could convey my experiences and I thought charts and graphs would be a fun way to do this.

Since I started designing charts, I also noticed that I am more prone to thinking in them: if something extraordinary happens to me, I immediately imagine how I could portray it with graphs. If I do not get inspiration spontaneously, I like sitting next to the river of Danube in Budapest where there is a lot of buzz and something is always happening. Once I have an idea, I sketch this in my notebook and draw this in Procreate later. My previous experience with graphic design came in handy because there I had the chance to develop a distinctive typo and a whimsical approach towards everything regardless of the topic. It is important to me that my charts are relatable, whether this is about dating or being an adult when you really do not feel that you are one.
Adulting 3
You really shouldn't be feeling any adults until you are 18. Just saying.

I was not influenced in my style by one specific artist but I rather looked at other illustrators' work to see what more I could bring into charts. I did not want to illustrate real gathered data, there are artists who do that brilliantly like Mona Chalabi. I did want to make it obvious, however, that you should not take my designs too seriously, which is why I decided to use playful, bright colors and childlike writing.
Being A Bird
Technically if you don't have anymore shíts to give you could do this without being a bird.... I don't recommend it tho...
Neighbor Watch
Some of my favorite charts are about the kind of guys I see on dating apps because illustrating it allows me to laugh at the miserable experience that online dating is. For example, no matter in which country you are, if you open these apps, there will be guys posing with fish. Why?? No one really knows but it is just there. A lot of my illustrations are there to make fun of something that I could also be sour about but then decide to rather laugh about it.
Small Acts Of Kindness
One little act of kindness can just turn a bad day into a “maybe this day isn’t so bad” day.
Cute Dogs
This is exactly the same for us cat owners. We each live with the cutest cats in the entire country
My subjects are mostly light but they always have some honesty in them: I want to be honest about the fact that sometimes I suffer during my period or that women can be horny as well. I am not trying to change the whole world with my illustrations but I want to show that there is nothing embarrassing about these things either. And I would like to believe that when someone sees an illustration that depicts period pain, maybe they will be more likely to talk about the issue in the future.
Payday
Pretty accurate...just drop the satisfaction line a little lower.
