Have you ever wondered what superheroes like Batman, Spiderman, or Superman do when no one is watching them? We might assume that when these characters are off the clock, they live their lives just like us. But how do these lives look? Interesting, right? If you're one of those people who overthink such things, we've got you covered.

Thanks to Brazilian artist Lucas Nascimento, known for his series Dragonarte, we can see reimagined scenarios of famous movie characters in their off-duty moments. This isn't the first time we've shared works by this talented cartoonist, so make sure to check out our previous posts featuring his earlier creations. For now, scroll down and enjoy the latest adventures of superheroes' everyday lives illustrated by Dragonarte.

Bored Panda reached out to Lucas and asked him some questions regarding his series. First, we were wondering how the artist comes up with ideas for his new comics. We learned that: “My ideas come from references in comics, cartoons, films... and things that happen in my own routine.”

Having grown up on Looney Tunes, the Road Runner always seemed like a bit of a jerk. Poor Wile E. Then again, I tend to sympathize with canines XD

Asked to describe his artistic style, Nascimento shared with us: “My style is mainly based on Dragon Ball and the Justice League, Batman and Superman animated series. At first, I didn't worry much about the quality of the drawings. I focused more on the jokes in the stories. A few years later I decided that the art deserved a better finish.”

We were also eager to find out what had been the most memorable or unexpected reaction the artist received from his audience. Lucas said: “A reader once sent a message saying that his life was difficult. He worked during the day and had problems at home. That was the only moment of relaxation he had at the end of the day when he sat down to see if there was any new story.”

Lastly, we asked the cartoonist what advice he could give to other aspiring artists who want to create their own comics or illustrations. The author of ‘Dragonarte’ told us: “Trying to recreate the artwork of the great names in art and comics is a great way to learn and create your own style.

To conclude, I would like to thank you for the opportunity to talk a little about my work and what inspires me.”

Wolvie always seemed like more of a gravy kind of guy to me, honestly. Logan was born in Canada, after all, home of poutine!

Flash, more than anyone, should have learned the dangers of eating too fast.
