We have already showed you what parenting really looks like, and it ain’t all sunshine and bubblegum. There are only a few people who know this better than Dan Gibson and his partner Corrie Whyte. The couple lives in Cambridge, Ontario and has 4 children: toddler, Emily, and triplets, Jackson, Olivia & Levi. “Anybody who has one baby, two babies, or more, they really understand the struggle of going through a diaper change or getting them ready,” Gibson says. Don’t you feel tired just watching him dressing the gang up?

I have twins and when I would pick them up from daycare there was no messing about. The coat room was filled with other kids and parents pleading with their children to get their snow pants on and then their jacket and then their boots. I had to work fast (not as fast as this guy) but I basically stuffed my kids into their outfits and was out the door before the other parents even got their kid's snow pants on. The trick was being firm and focused but not being rough, and always having an eye on the free agent. Free agents can react with a catalyst (e.g., another kid) and then a chain reaction can occur. I always called the coat room the 'kill zone' and it was best to get out of their asap. Once out the walk home was a blast.

Playpens. A playpen would help. Then at least you'd only have one wanderer at a time, right?
