Snakes and hats go together like baked-beans and grapes: it's rare to find one without the other. But when people start putting hats on their snakes, then you know it's really time to party! There's even an entire subreddit dedicated to the subculture.
Serpent-cosplay is arguably the first instance of costuming in history...with a twist! A little known fact is that Eve was convinced by a hat-wearing snake to offer the apple to Adam. 6000 years after the Earth's creation, snakes with hats are shunned no more, and are accepted members of society.

I've been going everywhere trying to find out, what kind of snake is this? If it's a cobra, what species? If not, what cobra mimics are there?
Monocled cobra, "sunset" morph. Her name is Kora, and she's owned by an Instagrammer by the name of Brandon Nathaniel(@Brandonssk).

Snake. Hat. What?
I know, I know. But my sweet girl was being such a good sport, sitting on my head like that, I just had to show her off.
Will you please share your opinion about how snakes are creepy. Personally, and I know alot of other people think this too, think that snakes are the most adorable things in the universe
Load More Replies...I would have shared this. If it hadn't said "6000 years after the earth's creation. " I can't share scientific inaccuracies.
I think that the entire intro is just tongue-in-cheek. "Snakes and hats go together like baked-beans and grapes: it's rare to find one without the other." - that doesn't make any sense, either. Whoever wrote it either has a dead-pan sense of humor, or was drunk.
Load More Replies...I hope not! My best guess is that they took a small portion of tape and taped it on, even though that's still not the best solution.
Load More Replies...Well..Im still creeped out by snakes, but I must say these made them look quite cute. But whats up with the "6000 years since Earth's creation"? Who wrote this?! LMAO
Oh my god! So cute The intro though? I don't care about the inaccuracy but baked beans and grapes?!
I didn't post anything in the lady and the snake pi .. Snakes don't bother me
This changes my opinions on snakes being creepy. They look cute with hats!
To Doodle Danger: While I don't "adore" snakes, I DO find them to be utterly fascinating, some with exquisitely marked patterns, I don't have any inclination to own any. Husband years ago owned a reticulated python which he kept well fed, and it used to roam his house (Late) with wife, 7 kids and 2 dogs without any hint of a "mishap". "Fred" was about 18+ feet, and when hard times hit, he had to find a good home for Fred. That was 30 years ago, and apparently Fred lived a long and satisfactory life. Putting hats on snakes, in my opinion might be a creative effort to make snakes more likable, which for some people wouldn't be possible no matter what drugs were tried (:>). I noticed you responded to a comment made 2 years ago. I'm impressed.
Is this a real thing or are geese pictures photoshopped? I'm asking because I would love to get a hat for my snake lol but how does it even go on?
I can do that for you (at least for most of them)
Load More Replies...Not all snakes have venom. Snakes are not poisonous. And also, not all snakes bite
Load More Replies...Not funny. Cannot be pleasant or healthy for the animals, especially when the hats were glued on. I hope the bored perpetrator of this animal abuse has given it up.
NO SNAKES WERE HARMED IN THE MAKING OF THESE PHOTOS! THIS DOES NOT HURT THE SNAKES! ALOT OF SNAKE OWNERS DO THIS AND IT DOES NOT HURT. IT IS ALSO NOT UNHEALTHY.
Load More Replies...Not funny. Using animals for amusement this way is disrepectful; gluing hats on snakes cannot be pleasant or healthy for them. I hope bored perpetrator of this stunt has given it up.
