Having one of those days? With so much craziness going on out there at the moment, sometimes what we all need is a break, time to switch off from it all and just look at some pretty and happy things. Like these adorable field mice for example.
These adorable photos of super cute animals were taken by Miles Herbert, a British photographer who runs Captivelight, holding workshops and animal photography tuition for people who are interested in capturing “birds of prey, reptiles, frogs and other beasties.”
“These harvest Mice were photographed in an indoor studio,” Miles told Bored Panda. “We provide a service for photographers looking for high impact cute animal pictures, and using a purpose-built studio means that we are not weather dependent. There is also an option to photograph animals outside if the client wishes, our other specialty is frogs!”
“Nearly all the animals we photograph are captive bred, the mice are bred to release into the wild at a local nature reserve – we prefer to use captive-bred animals rather than disturbing wild populations, and captive bred animals are more sustainable.”
Every cute mouse gets a treat during the sessions, as they just love to eat the stamens and the nectar of the flowers, while Miles and his clients get to watch their cute little subjects going about their business while taking great close-up shots. It’s a win-win situation for all involved, and you can’t fail to be enchanted by these tiny little critters, frolicking among in the tulip fields and nestling cozily amongst the petals.
The photographs are beautifully taken, vividly colorful and are sure to put a smile on your face, even on a bad day. Scroll down to check out the cuteness overload for yourself, and let us know what you the comments below!

Imagine being so tiny that your entire body weight doesn't bend a petal... my heart!:))
Wish I had a tulip bed with one of these adorable critters in each flower!
Load More Replies...Hahahaha omg this is so awesome! I didn't even know that was a thing...the first pic with the little guy covered in flower powder peeking out of the yellow tulip is the absolute winner <3
That is about the cutest thing I've seen all week. They must only weigh about 3 ounces.
The pics are great. But i can’t take Tiny Tim’s voice out of my head now.
You can in fact book sessions with the harvest mice. http://captivelight.uk/new-forest-harvest-mice/ So yes, tame mice but some shots are actually outdoors while some are in a studio.
I love everything about this series! If I didn't know any better I honestly would have thought these were drawings.
Mouse in a flower = d'awwww so cute... Mouse in the kitchen: ewwww!! Kill that thing with the broom!!
I want to frame each and every one and hang them all over my house!
All of God's creatures are special, but these little ones are truly adorable, could be great pets !
For some reason I am thinking of Alice in Wonderland while looking at these charming pictures.
I saw something very very frustrating online and was in a bad state, with my blood pounding and a migraine. I told myself to look at some harvest mice, knowing how cute these photos are, and sure enough, came here - migraine receding, mood lifting. Thanks so much, Miles, for your beautiful contribution!
Look at that sweetie with pollen all over is nose. Makes me ask the question: In the wilds, do the mice become pollinators? It looks like they might if the go flower to flower.
I would love to have several prints ... I have a special place in my heart for little mice....
So so adorable pics. Congratulations to photographer. It's fun and cutie mice. So lucky. ♥♥♥
OMG these are so cute. But i can hardly imagine, how much these lil rats will feel embarrassed if they could have actually come across this post. --- Visit My Websit--> http://www.srijitaphotography.com/
They would make adorable pets except they are so tiny they would get lost in the house, and I would not want to see them in cages, there are already far too many animals in cages !!!
So adorable in pictures! Not so adorable when they invade your house, chew into food packages and poop & pee on everything :-( Wish there was some humane way to deal with the problem.
I loved Miles Herbert's photos. Shared them on Facebook. Did bring a much-needed smile to my face!
This mad my stupid, depressing day a happy one.... Mooooommmmmm can I have one????.
It's sleeting in Chicago- two inches of snow expected tonight. This is just what I needed to remind me that Spring is Coming!
what the world needs now is love ... sweet love. even when it comes in a thumb-size creature shot in a studio and bred in captivity ... Thank you, Miles Herbert! You made the world's day <3
thank you Miles Herbert for capturing these thumb-size creatures (better than dropping bombs!) to lighten our hearts <3
I dunno... that all kind of grossed me out.....going outside to find mice inside my tulips.....
How darn cute is this!! I know they are pests, but all they want to do is live too.
So wrong and so many ways, and releasing captive bred back into wild on a nature reserve??? really.😡 people please think about what you are doing before you book this type of workshop. The comment “we prefer to use captive rather than disturbing the wild” tells you loads about the people running this workshop. It seems loads of self proclaimed supposed wildlife photographers are jumping on a quick money maker bandwagon.
Is this real or photoshopped?? Not sure a tulip would really hold a mouse???
I doubt you’ve even touched photoshop, you probably don’t know where to look to see if somethings photoshop or not.
