What dogs and humans have in common? They both are smart and full of energy. With just a little bit of training, our four-legged companions can easily learn all sorts of useful tasks that humans do. So why not employ them? As it turns out, some people already did. We here at Bored Panda have compiled a list of dogs who are working in a daily job just like us. Don't believe us? I Took My Dog To The Vet Today And Met This Guy. The Sign Underneath Is The Best Part
This Best Boy Helping Children Testify
bless the person who came up with this method. testifying is hard enough for some adults, imagine how terrible it might be to a child.
I had to when I was 8 or 9...I remember shaking and being so scared. This is amazing and I'm sure so very helpful.
Load More Replies...I was impressed with the pupper that works at the aminal doctor, and this amazing guy has stolen my heart forevermore, but I'm afraid if I say he is most important, some other even more amazing pup is going to come along, as hard as it seems as this moment. If you listen to country music, it's just like the song Then by Brad Paisley, with each Then being a different pup instead of couple experience.

Just imagine if you were like this little girl and had to testify about sexual abuse with your abuser sitting a few feet away, staring at you. He would have, no doubt, told you that if you ever "outed" him, he would hurt you, your sister/mum/pet and then you have his lawyer tormenting you, trying to make it sound as though you are lying. God Bless the person who thought of allowing dogs to be with these children.
Courts should have at least have for children a partition between the abuser and the child so the child wouldn't have to see him/her.
Load More Replies...Because you can always trust a dog or cat. You can tell them anything..your deepest darkest secret..and you can be comforted knowing they won't tell anyone else....
I know a 10 year old who should have had a therapy dog when she had to testify about her abusive father.
What an amazing idea like nanashi said bless the person who came up w/ this method.
Genius. That little girl knew she was safe from the man she feared. Hopefully, he knew that dog would protect her. Perhaps a dog is what she needs in her life.
But you still need the judge sitting up there like some sort of god making the child sit on those gigantic chairs and the whole making him/her feeling even smaller and more scared. Idiotic system and idiotic people really.

I'm not a dog person, but I'm not a dog person (I prefer cats), but seeing working dogs makes me happy. Dogs have assisted humans for tens of thousands of years and were largely bred for work ethics among other more specific abilities. I feel that most dogs probably WANT a defined job with clear rules. And working dogs are generally handled by proffessionals who are educated about their needs, they get proper traing and are thus are more relaxed because the do's and don'ts are pretty clear to them, and since they have a defined job they get to be certain that they're an essential part of their pack. I feel for the dogs of inept owners; paradoxically, the fact that dogs are social and so very much focused on humans means that they require a lot more work to be taught PROPER social behavior that will make their life a pleasant one.
Yes, to train your dogs: first train your humans. And me also, not really keen on having a dog, but it is lovely to see them like this.
Load More Replies...I am a dog lover and have always had one, that was both indoor and outdoor, though I have had to make some adjustments as my NZ husband thinks dogs are for work and live outside. So now have been adopted by a Burmese/ Rag doll cat that thinks its a dog - so I am happy as he comes in and out as he wants.

We bred our two labs to create a litter of working dogs and maybe one to keep as a pet. These American Field Labs have serious work ethics and frankly most people can't handle them unless they do a lot of work with them early as we did. (Hence we call them meth labs.) We ended up keeping one male and trained him well. The others were trained to work and work hard they do. One does policing with the local sheriff's department. One does Ag Inspections at a local FedEx facility and keeps bad things from coming in and going outta state. And yes he marks on weed. It's a hoot watching him run up and down conveyor belts. A couple others do search and rescue. Our prodigal pup was trained to locate cash money! Finding drugs is easy. Finding money is hard, He and his handler have located millions of illicitly gained dollars in vehicles, walls, floors, furniture and cleverly hidden in consumer products. Let's just say that's rewarding work because the dog digs it and the handler gets bonuses.
