    less abandoned and more some German Gentlemen and their Romanian Iron Guard allies removed the people to go death camps. Later under communism, there were few Jews and religion was restricted to authorized synagogues only.

    Abandoned or not, these are still churches / chapels. So I am a little on the fence about sitting or standing in the middle of it to have a nice backdrop for a photo. I'm not even really religious, but maybe it'S a European thing.
