I think everyone is missing the point here, a person posted a photo of a p&b sandwich basically stating it evoked childhood memories for him/her, and some overly sensitive, self absorbed, individual made it about offending people. The poster is not forcing a p&b sandwich on anyone or even suggesting it's a "universal experience". It's a sad world when posting a photo of a sandwich creates a need for protest. Frankly, if a picture of p&b sandwich is the only thing you have to get upset about you are one lucky person.

Well, get a grip. PB&J *were* universal in my generation in the US. Peanut allergies were unknown at the time and gluten intolerance is a consequence of eating a toxic diet. Please don't give me any post-modern BS because my experience was different from what yours is now. Oh, and I still eat these on a regular basis.

If you have a gluten intolerance or a peanut allergy, tell us what your pb&j equivalent was! Let's swap stories! What's the go to in a vegan house? Or in China? Did you have a quirky mom who always cut your sandwiches into art? Maybe the whole point was to ask about something that wasn't universal for the express purpose of sharing stories to expand our world views and become MORE sensitive. ....probably it was just an easy to make nostalgia post to farm some internet points, but there's no need to assume the worst of people.
