19 Crimes And Criminals Caught By Their Owners, As Shared In This Twitter Thread
Pet owners are catching their furry friends in crime scenes, or, well, in some cases, discovering the crime scene and then figuring out immediately who committed the action. It’s fascinating that some of the pets think that there is no way you'll find out who has round paws to walk all over a pie, sharp nails to test the sturdiness of the material of the sofa, or whose teeth are sharp enough to bite through an electrical cord. And all you get for an explanation is those heart-melting ‘it wasn’t me’ eyes.
And what do these criminals usually target, you might ask? Well, anything that is about to be shoved in the oven or just out of it, that has been freshly painted, or, in general, is intended to be kept tidy and neat. Check out the list below of the most notorious, but, let’s admit, cutest criminals and vote for your favorite ones!

Twitter user @urfriendimane's post of a ready-to-bake pie base with tiny paw marks on it and the cutest kitten on the other side received 1.5M likes and over 232.6K retweets at the time of writing. And the people responded with numerous pictures of the crime scenes and their criminal pets, some looking more guilty than others and some not caring about what they have done.
Y'all are busy commenting on the cat. I just wanna eat that brownie!
"Hey, I was doing you a favor. You were getting fat." -this cat 2021
The up-lighting does give this pusscat a guilty "aura"... is that a grin it's hiding? :P
Gotcha Gorgeous Ginge Kitty..look between his front toes..chocolate can also kill a cat.. true.( not only one of your brief thoughts at the time)
Some Twitter users were really concerned about whether the pie with the cat paw prints was eaten or not, which @urfriendimane reassured them it wasn’t. Many users shared not only photos, but also added stories of their culinary creations that, unfortunately, were used by cats to walk on or as an unauthorized spot to sharpen their nails. Well, perhaps the feline family members were just helping to decorate and therefore they are absolutely innocent?
And they look so tasty! I hope this person just ate the part around it, and didn't let those go to waste!
When the criminals are that cute, they are all hereby exonerated on charges!
Yep - cats will be cats, bless their little feline hearts.
Load More Replies...I had a cat who ate the corner off a pumpkin upside down sheet cake that I had out for a party. I just went ahead & sliced the cake, threw away the one he'd sampled, and arranged the slices on a platter so it wasn't immediately obvious that there was a piece missing.
The crime: A big scar on my forehead The criminal: A butter knife Never trust butter knives, they’re deadly.
So many smooth criminals. Pretty sure they all got their amnesty bill.
Last week. Did the spring touch-up paint. Cat got out. Walked right into fresh paint. The escapade ended with my scrubbing floors, me, a cat's feet, and my husband's wounds, not in that order. Then I found the pawprints of paint dried on the only area rug we even own. I don't even remember the cat getting into that room! .... But her pawprints are there until, y'know, the rug disintegrates! (Note: Her paws were safely cleaned, she was not harmed in the process, but my spouse needed a few butterfly sutures. He was her "launch pad".)
And by the time I got back to it, the paint was already dry to the touch, so I left the cat prints in it. I'll get 'em next year!
Load More Replies...I used to have a cat that ruined the curtains in an apartment I was renting! I was horrified how I will tell to the owner, but when he saw my cat he said " well, these were horrible curtains anyway and needed to be changed!!" I still wonder if it was my cat's charm that saved me or he really hated the curtains😂😂😂
I once had a cat that ripped open a bag of flour, and ate a bunch of it. The next day there was white diarrhea in the litter box. Same cat a few years later ate a new bar of soap. Like 90 % of it. She puked green foam for 2 days. I think you will understand why I keep kitchen and bathroom doors closed at all times. She lived to 19 yrs old. Not sure how.
Why couldn’t they eat the pie ? It was just your own cats little feet and it wasn’t cooked yet anyway
