It might seem a tad strange that it’s possible to actively enjoy and like the morbid and creepy. Indeed, our fear of skulls, skeletons and strange movements in dark areas tend to have some evolutionary basis. The presence of human bones tends to mean things are very bad, while dark places are wonderful areas to be ambushed from.
However, the popularity of the horror genre is proof that some folks actually enjoy the thrill. As with so many things in life, regular exposure does also help make things more predictable and less frightening. It’s a lot harder to be spooked by things that you feel are now commonplace. Indeed, at a certain point it even becomes so familiar that it might feel cozy.

I lived in Oklahoma for 57 years. Thunderstorms!! And yes, tornado's. I now live in far N. E. Ohio. I miss the thunder claps, the lightening splitting the sky in two. The tornado siren's going off at noon every Saturday just to make sure they are still working. What I don't miss is the 113 degree weather in the shade for 3 months out of the year!! It is a trade off I am willing to make!!

Gardening in the rain gave me so much pleasure. I love the wind and petrichor before and after a rain storm. You'll find me sitting on my porch during thunderstorm watching the lightning light up the sky.

My cousin made me watch Hellraiser when I was like 7 to "punish" me (don't remember what I did, she was babysitting). At the end, I asked her if we could watch it again. That was how it started. :D

you're not supposed to feel good for dani, though, you're supposed to feel horrified because of how the horga took this poor woman and manipulated her. ari aster himself said that midsommar isn't supposed to be a "good for her" ending, it's supposed to be an "oh god, the horga SUCK" ending (paraphrased, but I'm passionate about this)

Ask my spirit girl Kaitlyn who follows me around. She's 22 to 24 years old, 1994 means something to her. Her name is Kaitlyn, not Kat, Katti etc. Kaitlyn... that's the name her daddy gave her. She's adamant about it. I only see her in dreams but she makes her presense known often, and in front of friends too. She's not shy! And she hates when I drink. And has at times made no bones about it by tossing a bottle onto a floor, yes, a Jameson bottle... in a bar! LOL!
