That dust is still causing cancer. And I will never forgive, forget or pass an opportunity to remind folks that Republicans and Republicans only held up first responder healthcare funding. Firefighters died medically bankrupt because Republicans turned it into a political football for years. Years. If there is an objective good, you will find a christian conservative legislator in opposition. And while I should be used to it, this one still makes my blood boil.

Euthanasia should be a universal right.

Religion is the only thing stopping this from being widespread. This options should be available within a 50 mile radius to every human on earth. One should not have to travel thousands of miles to make a decision about their own body. People should be allowed to die with dignity, not suffer while they whither away.

More humane than suffering a painful existence with illness. The world, including the medical profession needs to have a rethink.

Yes please. I think counselling before hand might be a good idea to check no one feels coerced, but this needs to be an available option. No one should have to live out their last months or years in pain, dependency and indignity. We would have mercy on an animal, we should have the same mercy for human beings.

Why don't they do this in the US where they still think it's OK to let the government decide to kill people, instead of those horrible botched chemical executions where people writhe in pain for way too long?

For what it's worth, I think most people would want to die in more comfortable circumstances with people near them who support and love them.

We should all have the right to take our own life in a respectful and tasteful manner.

If I get dementia and can no longer care for myself, I want this or an overdose of morphine.

But right-wing Bible thumpers somehow believe they assure their own entry into heaven by restricting the rights, choices and autonomy of others. Catholic Church, among others has figured out the longer you live the longer you pay into the franchise. It has nothing to do with morality.

Why... does this exist? A wrong turn of depression... and suicide could be simple... even if they're not that deep in and only think about it for a second, one push of a button, and it's over...

Having the choice to choose your time when you have a terminal illness should be a legal right for every human. It doesn't stop that person choosing to fight their illness, but many would rather choose to go before they are no longer themselves. Watching many members of my family pass from cancer I've seen both types and the end is the same for both - its ugly, it's painful, it's degrading and it torture for people to keep them alive against their will.

I consider Alzheimer's a terminal illness, having gone through watching 5 family members go through it & dealing with a different form of dementia with my husband. Refusing the right to die is evil.

You're basically suffocating yourself! As someone with lung issues I can tell you the feeling of not being able to breathe is not pleasant! That's not the way you want to go.

Why is it anyone else’s business if someone wants to end their own life as long as they are not taking anyone else’s life with their actions. Why should anyone be forced to live?
